Thanks Surprised
Made quick Xdelta patch and size went down to 134 MB (from 1.30GB)
Check the rin if someone is interested.

Ah good, nice work using a actual patch method (xdelta) instead of just the full file replacement I uploaded. Smile

The important thing was the files you provided man!
Checked game content with TINcft and it seems you only forgot this or the game just changes it when you change some options.

Seems you are correct, I checked and I missed that file initially. Smile

Thanks for the file!
RELOADED update is not latest though. Missing Update 2 and installer is on German Very Happy
They also fixed steam_rld.ini and removed dragonborn dlc from there

Yeah RLD uses their own numbering for their update releases - doesn't matter how many have come out for a game and what they're called, the first update will still be called Update 1 (and it'll have all the updates out at the time of release).

Well its not the same as files @JBeckman uploaded. They didn't included all the files. Their release is also missing that /Data/UI/FrontEnd/Opt/FrontEnd.gf so it will fail to validate with latest manifest files (as well as the biggest updated files in Win/Data dir)

Well, the game seems to be quite awesome. I also thinks it looks absolutely great. The problem that I have with it is the performance. It's really really terrible.

Same, not always works with +60FPS and has massive 60FPS stuttering ..like,whenever you defeat the mouth boss at the beginning of the game and drop down the door up his face?,you take the car with your girl and fly up a ramp, seeing a close view of the couple enjoying the fresh air

THAT scene is fucked up..hopefully the update fixes it

From what I understood of the patch notes it's disabled by default now while they work out some issues with it but you can still enable the 60 FPS option again though you might encounter stuttering and other problems.

I've only had some smaller stuttering but from what I've read people are encountering various other problems such as shadow artifacts or missing menu descriptions.

Waiting for a patch seems like a good idea though it might take some time until they've fixed the majority of issues reported.
(MP is apparently a bit different and simpler so a lot of issues weren't noticed by the player community as the beta only had MP support, internal Q&A testing could have been a bit better too I guess.)

You summon the car at those stone altars I think (One of those guitar modes.), although I guess they aren't always near where the player might be.

Just tried the game for 30-40 minutes, I like it a lot. Razz The gameplay isn't anything really special, but the characters/environments and visual style are excellent..a fantastic tribute to metal, reinforced by the amazing sountrack and several references and names Very Happy.

This part of the intro was pure brilliance! Laughing

Is it just me or does this game have some kind of frame skipping? Fps are solid 60 all the time but animations sometimes get very jerky and it feels as if i play the game in stop motion somehow...

Make sure to enable the "Hi-Fi Sim" setting from the options. Razz This is what it does:

Quote:
BL has two main "threads" for computation - the simulation and the renderer. The simulation thread is what runs the game logic, physics, AI, etc. When it's done, it makes a "snapshot" of the entire world and then hands that off to the renderer. In original BL, the simulation was fixed at 30 fps. For single player in BL PC, we allow you to change that to run at 60 fps, which is what the Hi Fi sim option does.

The render thread takes snapshots produced by the simulation and then does the work to send them to the GPU for rendering. In original BL, the renderer was tied to the simulation, so it could only make new frames as often as it got them from the simulation, i.e. 30 fps. In BL PC, if your computer is fast enough, the renderer will generate new snapshots that "interpolate" between ones provided by the simulation, which allows you to render faster than the sim. This feature works regardless of if your sim is 30 or 60 fps.

Yeah tried that but it only helps for a few minutes then it stutters again and pausing or using the map seems to make it way worse.

What you describe is the well known stuttering bug, especially how the pause menu intensifies it. The devs know it and they're working on a fix.

beside the known issues posted before, is anybody having sound issues?
specifically background sounds being way too loud, for instance, right at the beginning where you first pick up your axe, the monks there are chanting while Eddie talks, the chanting is way too loud, above anything else in the scene, so i completely missed the dialog.

**2/27/13 Patch**
We have released another patch to the game. We have a lot of big fixes and will continue to work on the remaining issues and listening to the feed back from out community. It is important to us to give you the best experience possible.

Major Fixes
• Terrible stuttering/low framerate that some players experienced after pausing the game (including opening the map) should now be now fixed. This required (temporarily) disabling interpolated rendering. We’ll re-enable interpolated rendering once we having the timing issue that affected some players worked out. Hi-fi (60 fps) sim is still enabled (if you turn the option on).
• Missing background in Motor Forge is fixed.
• Fixes and improvements for the in-game radial menus based on player feedback.
• Fixed the shadows in the intro area of the game and in additional trouble spots

Major Known Issues
• Alt+Tab can lead to black textures.
• Interpolated rendering is disabled until we have a solution that works on all platforms.

I wasn't expecting the next patch that soon.

EDIT: And all the files I could find that had a modified file date has been packed and uploaded on Cs.rin again. Smile
(Hopefully without including too many redundant files that just had the last-modified date set for whatever reason but weren't actually updated.)

Doesn't include the files from the last patch but it seems it only saved some ~300 - 350 MB at most.

So most of the files only had minor changes it seems, other than the exe itself.

Then again you can fit a surprising amount of code in a few MB, those King Arthur strategy games used a similar concept to patch all sorts of files despite the patches only being like 10 MB or so. Very Happy
