And just think, this clueless sack of shit is making a comfortable six figure salary for sitting in his chair all day and spewing absolute nonsense about a subject he knows fuck all about. It's people like him that are responsible for the state of the world today. Sad.

I'd say the problem isn't him, but those that pay him money/attention. Wink

I'm sure he'll want DLC to follow this price increase logic as well.

He already said he wants $60 to only get you the SP of CoD, in order to play MP, ideally you'll have to pay even more money or else "it's a failure". http://www.nfohump.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=2062025#2062025

The thing that shocks me the most is, why this delirious clown still has so much relevance in the industry.
They might as well interview one random guy at the Pilgrim Psychiatric Center, and he'd come up with better ideas than Pacther. Laughing

Well we had to purchase boxed copies of games for 50€ for the past 10 years from local stores. Which is 65$... And wierdly enough when games have gotten more expensive in abroad our games pricing stays the same... During the 50 to 60 $ jump i was thinking "oh hell no!" But that didn't change the local store pricing... So if following the same rule then i can feel better if the rest of the world can suffer as much as I do Smile
That though has not changed the fact that this man is an idiot. I still dont get the mindset of publishers. Sure lets put the price of a game to 70$. Yey we sold like 1 copy in a month. But when they would put the price at lets say half of that 35$ then they would sell 100 copies because more people can afford. So which is more profitable. 3500$ or 70$ ?
Especially i dont get why digital copies are priced the same as boxed copies. Digital copies have zero packaging production costs. If the boxed version of the games costs 60$ then digital version of the game should be 50$ ...

digital distribution needs to pay for servers upkeep, monthly bandwidth for you to be able to download it when ever you want how many times you want.
not saying that they should be at the same price, but some people just dont count those.

why are people attacking this bloke so much

he is only saying in public what people like ea are saying in the background that's what he does he speaks to these people gets the info and says what they have been thinking or advised to do by others.

at the end of the day this is the american attitude all about making maximum amount of money so if they can get away with increasing prices then they will.

It's for people to refuse to fund these companies if everyone said enough already we will refuse to pay these prices then they will have to be reduced but people don't they moan but then go and pay it.
