Tip move your eyes from the screen a lot. Our senses get dulled if you experience stimuli for prolonged time. And man this was a lot of work.

Done numerous of these and I usually hit ~98% accuracy. Can't be arsed to do it again.

EDIT: Oh well, I did it again and scored 0...

My score is always around 10, but the cheap LCD monitor definitely isn't the best tool to test my already fucked up eyes xD

My guess that is the worst possible score, but you need excellent eyes to score that. Very Happy

+1

and my results were very bad. I'm not surprised, because I am colorblind....well, I have my difficulties with red & green.

This!

I mean, if you have like really quality IPS matrix monitor, that is properly calibrated, you could say that the test is valid, but on my crappy TN...

I didn't even took the test, because I don't feel like it, but I'm pretty sure I'm not colorblind Wink

I only had a problem on the last line. If you're doubting if it's right or wrong, try moving 2 blocks and suddenly you see that the colors does not match anymore so you move them back. That's how i did it. Maybe you already knew this, i'm just saying.

Well, I know I'm not colourblind but even people with perfect acuity can make small mistakes, either out of having desensitised the eyes after doing 2-3 rows, sitting in a certain light/dark environment etc..

With that said, I am amazed I scored 0... And I have a TN monitor (Samsung T220) so unless your colour/contrast/sharpness etc. settings on the monitor and in Windows/Linux/Whatever is off there's no excuse to blame it on the monitor, unless it's a REALLY shitty monitor that doesn't cover half the spectrum a somewhat better monitor would...

After I made a crude division of cubes to the left or the right I started comparing cube to cube from the static ones and could instantly see if there was a tiny hue discrepancy.

It's also a matter of having the patience to do something like that. If you have ADHD or some other reason to easily lose focus/concentration the chance of scoring perfect is less since it's such a repetitive tedious test that you just go "bleh, it looks good enough".

would be nice if they had added a way for you to repeat just 1 line if that's where you had some problem instead of having to redo it all.
