Yeah, probably something like that. Actually it only has an effect on performance in a few very shiny places so I suppose it's not that bad. Also, the game makes use of some demanding DOF ala the cinematic DOF in The Witcher 2. Other than that, runs and looks great for the most part and the game itself seems really good so far.
Hmm, game looks and works pretty good on my rig, but the TressFX thing cuts my fps to 35/s from 50-60 without it, i don't think the tradeoff is worth it, since sometimes the hair looks weird.
Some gameplay with that TressFX shite on. Stutters at times that don't happen if I turn off hair and a few FPS dips but not bad considering I was doing a full res FRAPS recording.
Yeah typical pre-order crap - free skills and weapon upgrades.
Definitely go with hard if you're playing with mouse & keyboard - combat is really easy once you get the pistol.
I'll keep it in mind , with all the hand-holding the last thing that I need is an invincible Lara Commando-style . If everything goes as planned tonight I'll try this.
Game runs smooth with everything on ultimate. Somehow the mouse look feels kind of laggy or jumpy. Aim is fine and smooth. Overall pretty good game. Will play more tomorrow after work.
