Its pretty much confirmed Simcity V is a disaster. DRM alone is one *ULTRA* disaster, the other is real backward bone-headed design decisions they made like in Aliens: CM..
Quote: | I played it last night for the first time since release date. Got a task from one of my citizens to let them party, and ensure I collect all their trash. Seemed an easy way to make 25k simoleans, no lie. The task had me collect 250 cans of garbage in 24 hours. I received the quest about an hour before they would collect their garbage for the night. The people only generate garbage twice a day, and only 170 a day at my current population level. So I obviously failed this impossible quest.
The traffic simulation is awful. The pedestrians on a sidewalk slow down traffic in the street, because they drunkenly wander into it. They also do not cross on a schedule,as there are no lights. They just walk across whenever they feel like it, 9 times out of ten blocking traffic. |
Also, what happened if the server or your Inet connection goes down when you are building your city? Or what happens in 3-5 years when they decide to shut the servers down and you basically now have a bricked game? FCUKING GAMES THAT TIE TO ONLINE ALL THE TIME!!!

They've had two days to fix this shit and it's still just as bad as NA release day. What a god damn joke.

That's the best part. EA themselves are spinning it that having the game be always online is a good thing. They are doublespeaking this shit up so hard.

This is worse then Diablo 3. Two days after launch you could generally get into D3 and not have issues. Not to even mention the fact that D3 itself was a shit *game*.
Two days later and still can't do shit with this game. Now that the game has full release it's really bad. All of the servers are busy (Or show available, but you can't connect), and even if you manage to get in EA has turned off certain services like the leaderboards, inviting friends, etc..
It's a fucking joke. Get a refund if you can and buy a month from now if you still want to play it.

Tenderly raped you mean...
Well, this was to be expected from EA.
"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

Thats not true. One week before the release of Sim City, all sellers reduced the delivery quota because EA promised to much copies. Next Problem was that some "EU-versions" from Spain for example had only Polish, Russian, Hungarian language, so most key-shops cancled all pre-orders. |
oops, i hope my key will have english language..cant cancel pre-orders with direct2play :/
