Thats not true. One week before the release of Sim City, all sellers reduced the delivery quota because EA promised to much copies. Next Problem was that some "EU-versions" from Spain for example had only Polish, Russian, Hungarian language, so most key-shops cancled all pre-orders.

But you are right, something is strange here anyway, how come we didn't get our "preorder" limited edition key before the 8th ?
It seems that something weird is been done between key sellers and EA.
For every other games I bought this way I always had my keys within a bunch of seconds even for some preorder.

Strong Next-gen realistic simulation which requires EA servers to calculate sophisticated individual sim behavior

Apparently this is the most optimal build to get high population.

Patch 1.2

And now they deactivated Cheetah speed so it is the same as Llama speed.

Why putting on more servers when slowing down the game do the trick ?

I call bullshit on that. There is no way in hell that would work during rush hour traffic, or with the claimed pop. I had a somewhat smilar setup with 100k people and the traffic was unmanagable.

Also, there is no way in fuck that is a 650k pop city. Those are all tier 3 density buildings at best. I see no tier 4 buildings which you would need all of them to be to have that kind of pop.

And his income and amount of money? That's likely sandbox mode and he is cheating.

Maxis team trust level are still at the same level for now.
It will fall if they let down the game like they did with SC4.

well, check the link. He did turn on sandbox in the end, and traffic disappeared for some reason (bugs).

Ok. So the point is is that that isn't reality if you are playing a normal 'ranked' ('tracked') game.
