Ah well, Am. Football is just another made for tv sport in North America. I like it, but come on, when they win the super bowl, they call them world champions???
I believe Rugby and Football (I really hate to call it soccer) are more pure sports. Apparently, people here are watching it for the violence, but with all the body armour, can you really speak of that? American Football isn't a sport, it's entertainment.

 @ the rugby comparrisons..... why is it that Rugby players can play in the nfl yet nfl players cant play rugby? You just dont have the stamina for a start. I know there are fat fucks in there but they're also extremely fit and healthy. At my gym some guy from sale sharks came in and was an animal. Not a guy you'd want to wrestle a ball off  |

1) New Zealand
2) South Africa
3) Australia
B)Not many imjurys ?? are you fucking kidding me ?? during a game (there are 15 people on each team) there would be a average of 5+ Injurys
C)Rugby leauge is even more brutal than rugby aswell.. watch that video i posted u retard..
D)Gridiron players are FAR less fit than rugby players.. they get to have a break every few seconds.. a rugby player has to run pretty much non stop the entire game.. (80+ Minutes)
E)Have you ever been in a ruck ?? your allowed to ruck people with your steel studded boots to get them away from the ball if they are lying on it or just in the way...

fawk dude, i watch rugby all the time, im not like most of you people, i knowbarley anything about computers,i dont play fps or like rpgs, sports school beer and broads are my life, i like rugby, i like all sports, im just telling it like it is, you cant compare football with rugby, the average nfl,ers career last like4 years, for wevery rugby injury theres 5 football injurys, if the players in the nfl didnt wear gear they would be dying left and right from severe injurys, football players donr tale breaks, they have to get back in the huddle to call the next play its a game of stradegy, you dont just pick up the ball and run, what next, are you gonna say hockey players are pussy for wearing gear? that sport is rougher than all of them.
and anotherpointfootball was played in canada(CFL) looonnng before the nfl even started.

yeah if one of those league organizations paid me to defend one, I would.
Actually, a lot of people in the US consider soccer to be very girly, and hence girls play it here! There are soccer teams for older men (in high school and college) but no one cares, not me anyway. I actually did play on a team once, but I quit that shortly after. I'm not much of a sport person at all. For some kids, it's like soccer is something you do when you are younger and football you do in high school, and then you date a cheerleader, so called tradition. And there are no soccer cheerleaders here. 
I really do prefer watching American football over soccer any day. I have no Fifa's, and I have every Madden since 99 (and a few for SNES, 93, 94, etc). Fun stuff.

football(the real version) is the sport that needs most strategizing of all, hence the breaks calling plays etc. Rugby is just boring, football is different, entertaining and there are no dominant teams like in soccer where the top 5 teams rule the world in like 30 years.

A) Rugby is not boring
B) Gridiron(its not called football) is NOT the most stratergizing.. for example rugby has set plays etc etc etc.. but the players dont need to stop to figure it out.. and also it leads to a free flowing game.
C) Of course there are no dominant teams for gridiron.. your the only country who plays it!

I love how people are fighting over something so silly. If you don't like it then don't play it if you do like it great play it watch it spend all your hard earned cash on it if you want. You'd be hard pressed to find a match in which blood hasnt been spilt so stfu.

agreed. The best way to play rugby is in the rain with damp ground, makes the game alot more brutal and fun, but i just cannot sit through a rugby match without being bored to tears.
