Yes they can in america. There's legal precedence over it, hence why all the companies starting throwing that into their license agreements. Not even joking this is a good thing. Class Actions really are a scam that does nothing to companies. If you think a $10,000 fine will harm EA, you're gravely underestimating their company value.
No, you can't, even in America. Class actions are allowed by law and EULA's never go above the law.
It doesn't matter the wording of any contract. Contracts use legalese to confuse or blur the lines of these rights, but they do not void them.
Statutory rights;
Seller has a right to sell
The buyer has a right to expect something works "as advertised"
The buyer has a right to expect something is of satisfactory quality (fit for purpose)
The buyer has the right to complain and seek recourse if their statutory rights are violated.
Im very impressionable, so i beg you not lead me astray with half-knowledge regarding law.
Ah so if you know your basic consumer rights you're an internet lawyer? Basically you've just proved that other people pointing out the fact you're an idiot offends you. Perhaps if more people knew their rights EA would have stopped pulling this shit years ago. But, as it stands, we've got asshats like you, who are completely ignorant of THIER rights letting the corporate murderer ass fuck their corpses. Quite funny indeed.
You've just bought a shiney new 1000w Pioneer Surround system. You get it home, hook it all up and sit down to watch Brokeback with your boyfriend. Half way through there's a knock on the door. You answer to a polite little Japanese man who walks into your lounge, unhooks the dvd player and walks back out. "WTF!" you shout. The man replies "We're taking back the DVD player because we feel it's impacting on the performance. Sorry for any inconvienience." "But you can't just take my shit, I paid for that", to which the little man replies "Should have read the small print numbnuts."
OG, you just proved that you, yourself doesn't have a lot of "smarts"
You have not bought the EA servers, you bought the game and I would also bet that in the small print it is clearly defined. The servers are not yours like the surround sound system anology.
Now STFU and stop "trying" to be an internet smart arse.
General
This patch fixes an issue that was causing the game to crash.
Servers:
Optimizations to improve latency. The Region wall and city to city trading will be more responsive.
Database optimizations that will improve the success rate for connections.
Fixed an issue with rollbacks. Higher chance of success and less chance of getting in a rollback loop.
All we have been getting is crappy server fixes issues, but I would also like to see some game fixes

That's the kind of attitude companies like EA thrive on. Of course a law suit will harm them, if not by monetary loss, than by loss of reputation.
There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.
Truly gone fishing.
you never buy the game either. You simply buy the right to use the software (game). Always has been like that (license).
We, EA, grant you, the End User, the licence to lick our balls. You may lick our balls until the term of this licence has ended or until such a time as we see fit to remove said right. EA reserves the right to cancel this agreement at any time for any reason.
Guys, we need some department of utilities in the region and stuff...sucks not to have sewege treatment plant
Well, i have them all, which means that on a 16 ppl region not everyone is connected, maybe only 4?
That's right. I keep forgetting that 16 region is divided into smaller 4 regions. Not sure what is the point of 16 spaces if they are not connected at all.
well after you complete all the survey shit they want you to do, tell me Hmm, wrong thread? I sawa post here saying something about a crack and seeing if anyone tried it... THat is what I was responding to, but I don't see the post now... lol
