my first pc game? it was probably in late 80s or early 90s - Scorch and Prince of Persia 1. PC 286 with 14" b&w monitor with weird filter on screen. at same times parents bought me my own computer. it was commodore 64 with casettes. such hardware was something amazing that times in poland. if you had computer, you had friends and friends of friends.
my first contact with computer was even earlier - friend of mine had ZX Spectrum and some fabulous games such Mickey, Enduro Racer, Hostages. but my first contact with games was on vacation. ive seen some coin-ups and flippers and i felt in love. now, after 32years of life i still love games.

most famous version of scorch

prince of persia

It wasn't the first, but the first game I really recall the name of was Scorched Earth. Man, we had some good times with that game Smile

Now if we go back to the C64 days, well.. shit, my old age is showing now haha.

My god, sooooo many great memories in here.

My first? I just cannot remember what the old console thingy was called, but the game was about 1 or 2 frogs, on opposite sides, jumping and catching insects.

Also there was a car game, with 1 or 2 car in opposite lanes, just driving past other cars.

It was some really old weird console that I have NEVER seen or heard of after we sold it. Damn I wish I knew.

I'm pretty sure it was not an atari.

Haha I actually found it, how damn random!

Which is actuallt a pretty decent FPS game to start off with. The single-player campaign is lots of fun (the sniper missions are ace) and the multi-player is still fantastic. ^_^

I had multiple Commodores ( 64, 128 and Amiga 500 and 1200) so I wasn't really interested in the pc as a gaming platform. That is until I saw Doom at a friend's place. I had just gotten myself an Amiga 1200 with a huge 120mb HD and a glorious monitor for the unheard of 256! colours you could get on-screen simultaneous. Doom was a real eye opener for me and I just knew I had to get myself a PC. The Commodore was going obsolete.

My first PC was a 486 DX2-66mhz and it was amazing. 1994 was one of the best PC-gaming years so far with titles like x-com, System Shock, Tie Fighter, Master of Orion, Warcraft, Heretic, Jagged Alliance and many more. The game that turned me from my Commodore fanboyism was Doom.
