seems the game has lots of problems, specifically with camera angles/distance and sound. Were these patched? Still holding off on purchasing the game...

My game will not start, it doesnt even go to the patch screen now, load sounds at the start then black screen, after 2-3 mins of black screen my ps3 just restarts.
Any ideas?
Ryzen 5 3600 cpu@3.60 Mhz.
hyper x 32 gb ddr 4 memory.
Msi Carbon gaming pro ac motherboard.
Evga 600 psu.
Msi Armour rx 8 gb 5700 Graphic card.
Ps4 Standard 500gb.
Lg 4k 42 inch tv.
Oculus Quest 2.

Weird and unfortunate! I cant play my game until I get back from work but hopefully I wont have that problem. Have you checked another game just to confirm the issue is only occurring on God of War: Ascension?

I have the same problem with fifa 13 to but after a while of trying it loads.
This one doesn't.
Sometimes when i play another game first, then try out the gamer thats dodgy that seems to work i'll give it a go.

i used ares, fire, throughout the whole trial, fully upgraded (it only has 2 upgrades anyway) |

It is a disk reading error but i tryed what i did load another game then go back to god of war and now it's loaded

it was rushed no doubt, while i have experienced "only" half of these named problems, i also had some which arent listed.
but then again, some people claim they played through it without a single bug, it seems pretty random.

My 2 biggest problems with the game i've met so far. I really haven't played this much. First, the camera angles on some fights. Take that house that hyrocolis something something held in his hand. I didn't follow for shit, it was impossible to see what was going on sometimes, and my second problem is i hate fighting bugs. Not because i'm scared of them, but because bugs are boring enemies.

got mine delivered today a day early also but dunno if i should even bother playing it till they fix all these problems people seem to be having. When crap like this happens it make piracy seem a worth while venture.

I've just started playing , 1st playthrough on hard, i died like 10 times already and I'm just on the part where then flies go into the arm 
Yep i suck at games 
But I've had a few audio issues already out of sync.
But the game seems like a typical god of war game, but i hope theres some good bosses

lol i dont get the problem with rising´s last boss, beat him on hard too without any trouble.
his attacks are easy to evade and the rest are qtes and slomo slash stuff that gives you plenty of time to aim, imo monsoon was the most annoying boss in the game.

The Slow-mo slashing got on my nerves initially, but then got a couple of tips from the people on GameFAQ boards and made it through. Trust me, it took me forever to figure that out. That boss really had some cheap moves.
I was able to memorize Monsoon's move sets and block most of them effectively. But the Senator really proved to be a pain in the arse.

Exactly my thoughts monsoon was difficult since even slow on didn't worked I was able to beat last boss on hard too after dying twice

Im enjoying this game too just past the mini boss with 4 of them things you drag out of the floor or grapple out the floor so dont know how far in i am i hope the seriez is kept going as i really enjoy it hope it sells well too
