Is this game like Gothic where you have large areas where you can do whatever you want or is it like in Dungone Siege where you follow a road and kill everying you meet?

NEW AREAS TO EXPLORE.
They aren't going to toss them right in the beginning.
They are obviously mid-high content.
Sheesh people. |
Looks nice, although I havent played the game on XBOX

I think you that you can copy all the data in a folder, then edit the msi file with orca and modify the cd label in the "media" type, then burn everything on a dvd.
But I didn't try this, it's just a guess...

Yes you can put this onto a DVD just use orca to edit the msi files. Good luck.

Is the save system using special locations were you have to save? Because I finished the bow training, then saved, but when i loaded, I started in my room with Whisper when you first get to the Guild castle.

In the end, this game reeks of console.
#1 Issue - Infinite spawning guards in town. Even if you slaughter the entire populace, elite guards spawn ad infinitum.
#2 Loading zones every 5 feet. Even if the zone loaded is just a small tunnel, rest assured there will be another one right behind the door 5 feet from you.
#3 No satisfaction in being evil. After senslessly slaughtering an entire town, and upwards of 100+ of its guards, I was awarded the middle finger expression! Wow, no shit? I just committed a near genocide of an entire populace, and the worst I can do is show someone my finger?
#4 I'd also like to thank Mr. Molyneux on his unique set of blackjack rules. Apparently France is the only country in the world, where if a player hits 21 first, then the dealer draws to 21, the player loses his bet instead of it being pushed. Now, I'm not a hardcore gambler..but I think I've played enough to know that, unless the dealer deals himself 21 on the initial deal, the player is always awarded a push if he achieves 21, then the dealer. Such is not the case in Fable.
#5 The inventory/interface menu is horrid. Have to navigate through 4 fuckin submenus to see what items I have? Oh wait...guess the xbox forced this type of implementation. This is a "improved" version though right? They couldn't have spent a week and redone the console inventory management system? Guess not.
On the plus side, some nice things...
#1. Great voicework and music.
#2. The game feels polished, were it not for the quirks listed above.
#3. Although ultimatley shallow in implementation, the devs. had enough balls to implement drinking/sex/murder into the title. Rare nowadays, with everyone kissing the asses of the ESRB.
Perhaps outstanding for a console title, but the PC has seen far better.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

Couldnt agree more. I played for a while and was left wondering what the big deal was. It also reeks of camp. Guild of Heroes? Are you fucking me? How cheesier could you get. How can I feel evil in a world like this? The combat is easy and boring as hell. The interface blows. The whole game feels like its on rails. I was expecting something more like Morrowind but I guess I was wrong.

Vip3r.... i had this too m8.
in main options screen at title screen set it to ur res. then load the game and then set all options to max one at a time... except shadows... set that 1 setting from max.
You may be able to do all these settings from optiosn screen on title screen.... btu remember not to set shadows to max or it will reset to 640x480

also when making it into a dvd, u merge all the files that one_and_only85 stated ...into one folder.
edit the msi using orca as stated by niukiuk and replace the msi with ur edited msi. The msi file u should edit is "Fable - The Lost CHapters.msi"

Because thats not being evil, it's being a psychopath. You have to be evil in relation to the quests and main storyline for you to get any good rewards. If thats as creative as you can get then you don't deserve any rewards anyway.
Plus, doing that is boring.

Anyone else getting any kind of sound glitch errors? The game runs fine, I get sound when the game first starts, but after I get to the middle area of the starting area the sound stops, and there is no more talking or ambient sounds. After an autosave if I quit and restart then I get sounds back, but usually after a zone the sound vanishes again.
Also the game doesnt seem to want to shut down correctly and just hangs on the black screen where I would assume the desktop should kick back in.
I am running an Audigy 2ZS and updated the drivers for it last night, but it hasn't made any difference with sound issues or close down hang problem.

You're really early in the game, I wouldn't worry about heavy armor yet, what do you have at the moment? Chainmail?
