Okay, finally I am able to login and voice my pedantic, annoying and overly self-inflated opinion.

Personally, I like the new skin, it's fresh and it has a 'clean' modern appearance. BUT I am not fond of the overuse of these dashes that you find populating every single PHP encoded site.

I'm also a little unhappy with the lack of contrast and distinction between both users' posts and their respective sidebars which are connected to their posts (the place which houses their name, avatar, location etc).

I think it makes reading pages at a glance a lot more work than in the past.

Definately think the site is on the right track but these two points I think hold it back.

Not liking the look.
First, there's a bug about place of the menu.It appears in IE6(not in Opera, not in Mozilla).OnBoard wrote about this bug.

http://img5.picsplace.to/img5/1/NforceNewDesignIE6.jpg

Second, come on guys...This is forum with long threads. And you got those long vertical lines of NOTHING on both sides of a thread.Unless you plan to fill those lines with something, why don't you put the menus horizontally right after logos and use vertical spaces for the sake of a thread.

Anyway this is the great site.Admins and moderators are doing nice work of maintaining it.

Edit: when I finished the post, the right vertical void stripe disappeared as well as menu misplacement.

This new look is killing me..... I need to log in everytime I come here.... pictures posted open real big then they resize which locks the entire page up for 5 seconds.... sometimes it locks up for noe reason at all.... sometimes when browsing the layout gets totally messed up making some posts unreadable and some pictures unseeable.....

It looks great but It's very frustrating browsing this forum now, please go back to the old look.....

- New website doesn't remember my login for some reason. Pain in ass to login each time.

- If you have 800x600 monitor (yes 10% of us still have them) the OPTIONS and QUICK NAV bars hover in a strange part of the screen (instead on the far left edge).

- Stuff will also get clipped on right side of screen sometimes. You need to use percentage in parts of your tables instead of absolute pixel values!

The problem you are having is down to IE6 not supporting alot of CSS Tags. Mostly the max-width and min-width tags. These are used to ensure the site doesn't become smaller than the full length of the header+ad banner. There is a small .js script running on the site that forces IE6 to use max/min-width (it does nothing in Firefox). However, if for some reason this script doesn't load prperly, then you will get a messed up looking page. A simple refresh will fix this 9 times out of 10 (which you saw when you posted the message).

I know it's not really a answer, but it's IE6 that's at fault and not the CSS Layout. We will look into a better solution to the .js script though as there are still far more IE users than Firefox.

As IE doesn't support the same CSS tags as Firefox, we're having to use a piece of javascript to stop the layout from crappying up. As you can see it's not quite perfect. These problems are isolated to IE, but we are looking into fixing it.

hi there!

is it possible, that old nfo's, like for example "Ghost World" are not in the database anymore? Seems, only nfo 2004 and up are online.

are they lost forever?
