There are collectible items in the game.

Id rate the game a generous 7 out of 10 as the visuals are way below today's standards.

I think overall it is a fun and enjoyable game if you are not a graphics ho Smile

Thanks Deelix, nah i dont care about graphics if the game is fun and has decent gameplay.
I dont have high expectations for this game, if it is decent is enough for me.
Im a fanboy of the tv show.

3. no, its automatic... its how the game progresses. you can only choose between cars (when you get new ones.)
4. The missions are pretty cool, the game as a good vibe to it Smile Scripted sequences and good level variation makes the game pretty fun at least.
5. yeah, it has some simple side missions, and you are of course rewarded for them. When I say simple; find the police mans hat Very Happy
6. not yet at least.
7. don't know, it looks like the game has 3 acts (looking at achiements) im on act 2, and it seems to have more locations. You can't go back... because the whole idea of the game is traveling without looking back.

Thanks deelix, are you by any chance a fan of the walking dead tv show?

And are there any collectibles in the game?

Whats your rate for this game 1-10 ?

Overall, its a enjoyable & fun game?
Love the TV show, the new episode is ready for watching when I come home from work Very Happy
So far id give it 6.5-7/10

6-7/10 score is enough for me, at least is not alien colonial marines Laughing
Reviews should come out today or tomorrow, the release date on US is tomorrow.

Thanks again, if you find anything interesting in the game share here on nfohump.

Did you find any easter eggs?

So far I would give it 6.0 / 10 , as I said there are some interesting ideas here..it's really a shame this game is only a quick cash in. I really wanted TWD action/rpg something like Dead Island but with a more serious note , detailed branching story etc..stupid Activision and their CoD franchise , give this game some proper funding..

Completed it yesterday, and my final score is 6/10
This could have been so much more, it feels rushed and it feels like things are simplified.
When I commented last I didn't know the random stops escalated as much as it did (visiting 25 unmarked locations gives you an achievement Rolling Eyes )Surprised And yeah, those missions get pretty annoying. Its such a cheap way of making a game longer. Because if you take away those missions the game is 3 hours long. No kidding...

+ the challenge
+ music and atmosphere
- the travel part
- the gfx

Hum, yeah that is what i was expecting... maybe they had a low budget or they didnt have the time to make things as it should, its sad because could be much better Sad

Anyways, i heard that you can do a new game with weapons from your last playthrough.

To complete the game at 100% and do all achiviements im sure its more then 10 hours.

Deelix do you think it adds replay value if you choose a different path in a 2nd playthrough? when choosing the streets, highway and such?

And what did you think about the story? i heard the end sucks =/

Survival Instinct also features a lot of sweat. Sweat? Yes, sweat. Normally in games like this, when you "sprint" for a while, you'll run out of breath. Maybe, if you're playing Far Cry 2, your vision will swim a bit. In Survival Instinct, you'll start to see a weird water effect run down the side of the screen. That is, I have to assume, supposed to be Daryl's sweat, pouring down the camera lens. Weird! And kinda gross!

Has anyone encountered any issues with this on the ps3, apart from it being allegedly turd?

I've tried downloading from two different sources, each time when I start a new game the intro plays for a split second then the screen goes black. I'm not too concerned about the game overall, however, I refuse to be defeated by something which is probably simple to fix... maybe it's just a sick curiosity to see just how bad this game is, which is driving me on lol wut

I'm on the latest Rogero CFW and have the newest version of Multiman.

Thanks.

Then why do you keep reading? You don't need validation from others do you? If you somewhat like it, play it.

And a question. I took notice from videos and the 2 maps i've played that there really are no disturbing zombies like in the show. Removed jaw for example. Everyone just looked normal. Is this so for the whole game?

Bad
The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct doesn't live up to franchise expectations, and it's not worth your attention.

+TV voice actors

– Lack of a narrative
– Filler missions
– Easily gamed combat system
– Ugly

One of those times when USER reviews on Metacritic actually matter. 22 whining gfx whores and 35 people enjoying gameplay and atmosphere. As to the media, it looks like no one has the balls to call this game good in order not to lose their mainstream readers.

Haven't completed it but still enjoying massively.

The problem is gp is really boring too , clunky..uninspired..you can kill hundreds of zombies using QTE , not to mention bugs and other unpolished crap. There are some nice ideas here but that still doesn't save this game. It's really a shame that this gen lacks proper survival horror games , last decent s. horror game that I played was Silent Hill Downpour and that game wasn't that good as I expected to be..still much , much more playable than this. And seeing some ppl supporting this or Colonial Marines with buying it..damn..what will games look like in the future.. Neutral if these sell well..shame really..

I bought the game myself for Xbox, game runs like shit on my laptop.

I saw some interesting things in the gameplay videos, looks decent to me.

How is the story for you?

After Telltale's masterpieces the story here ain't worth mentioning. Honestly I wasn't even expecting it to be present.

I only enjoy the serie's scouting/scavenging scenes atmosphere (those shot with stedicam with Rick and Daryl aiming their weapons and clearing rooms or corners) which is perfectly translated into gameplay.

I don't understand complaints about the game being boring. Suspense and thrills = Telltale's games. Here we a have a simulator. And I haven't seen any variation to zombie disposal in the series itself. It's always the same. Bullet/arrow/sharp object/blunt object. It's the same in the game.

Basically what people complain about is the lack of a thrill ride on rails which they will then bash for being on rails...

Anyway I'm happy for having the ability to see something good in something that is not a pure diamond. Remember that I liked and defended Colonial Marines Very Happy
