Sorry for bumping the thread without any news for this game, but is this an MMO or not? Wiki says it's entirely a SP-focused experience.

Its former name was Class3 (the current one being State of Decay). But I also see a Class4 title which is presently being planned as an MMO. I guess, SoD will be a transitional and 'experimental' title with the main mission of laying on the foundations of Undead Labs' future zombie MMO?

It's not an MMO, it originally had co-op options planned but was postponed mid-development and MP focus shifted to their Class4 title. The devs said they'll try and implement multiplayer into Class3 (State of Decay) at a later date, though. It's also getting glowing praise from the lucky bastards with JTAG/RGHs in the console section Very Happy

Yipee. I've been craving for an open-world zombie game with a main accent on survival on a day-to-day basis. Something having in its core design and mechanics base building, food and resources management, maintaining survivors you meet along the way, staving off all kinds of threats endangering your home. And especially something that is too close to being released as opposed to another patiently-awaited title by myself - Dead State (which for now has all the symptoms of vaporware Sad ).

The concept looks really good on paper, and judging from those recent videos it feels more like a complete game now, pretty deep too for the XBLA standards. Hope they reveal that damn PC release date soon Very Happy

"Well I realized it was actually 22 hours now. I love that there are a couple of places to move the home. I also found some excellent pickings back at the very beginning of the game. One thing is...the world is huge. My god. Really when looking at it, it seems like it won't be that big but after 22 hours of somewhat shallow exploring and gameplay I just now moved my home(which you don't need to do). And thats in the from the first little town. Damn.

Also the building sieges are insanely long. I think I held off a zombie attack for maybe 45 minutes before cleaning out the area. I can see some people disliking the length but to me it was harrowing.

I have to say the game has it going on. But you have to REALLY understand the despair of the game. Friends WILL die. The death of one in particular, after maybe 17 hours of gameplay, hurt worse than I have felt in a game in years. It dawned on me that I had grown attached to him like a character in the Walking Dead or something. When he died I just sat there for maybe 2-3 minutes saddened by his death. I also love how the other characters say little things about each other when a person dies. Sweet addition.

Also loving how many characters you can be and how they each interact and say different things to the mission givers. Fairly cool. They go on their own adventures and sometimes you have to go safe them from themselves. Really well done.

Lastly, I have slowed started to feel the pinch from using the vehicles too soon. Each time I decide I want a car I have to go further and further out and so I have begun collecting them and treating them like money:)"


Cant wait for this to get a pc date

I bet PC version will feature FOV of 40 and 30 fps lock for maximum immersion + claustrophobic feeling. Anyway looks pretty nice.

There's no info about the PC version release date at all. We don't even know if its in 2013. Besides the fact the game leaked for the 360, we don't have an exact date for that version either. We know its June but the devs are not clear which day exactly. So its obvious that all PC version "leaks" are just scams.

Just like any other day. If it doesn't come out for the PC, I'll just bury the memory of it somewhere deep, forget it ever existed and move on. It won't be much of a deal if I don't have the chance to play it. That's how I proceed with exclusives that I have any interest in.

Agreed though I have expressed my love for it on the Xbox(in the so called derp section), I too would love a PC version.

However I don't think this has anything to do with the xbox exclusivity. Rumor is they are NOT splitting dev staff and instead just doing XBLA then PC as the PC was already pretty far along(better optimized than the current 360 leak) before they made that decision. And the 360 has 0 bugs I could find though it does have frameerate and pop-in issues and is content complete. Polish XBLA and then polish PC is what it sounds like to me and then release them both. *shrugs* we can hope.

Supposedly it was a part time dev who said all this. We will see. I am stoked for a PC release.

Personally, as a primarily PC gamer, this is a game that I would play on a fucking Apple 2GS if I had to. Regardless of the framerate and regardless of the pop-in this has to be hands down the most fun I have had in a game in a long damn time:)

If it's not due to exclusivity, than that's even better in my eyes. I'd rather have them take their time on the PC version because they want the best quality, than instead holding back a finished copy just because of some exclusivity bullshit.
