Fuck it. Boring weekend with no sport (due to weather) and being loaded with a cold that feels like ebola... I've found a site selling a cd key for £32.99. I figure I get a free game anyway. Will just have to not have pizza for a couple of weeks:P

Some of you guys are playing together... can anyone join that region?

Have you not been reading this thread?

Mind Is Full Of Fuck

I have but some of the issues outlined I don't think will bother me too much. I like the idea of the online regional cooperation. Anyway if its shit its shit and I'll say so.

Yet you still paid for it. EA thank you for your support. That digital version of a game on their platform really did cost EA a lot to give away, so hope you appreciate their utmost generosity. EA will surely continue this practice as our consumers clearly embrace this. Mad

Not quite sure what your point is....

Anyways I've played about for a couple of hours... it's not terrible so far... pain in the ass finding other people to play with so I just claimed a whole city for myself.

I agree with a lot of what has been said here, it certainly feels very dumbed down in certain aspects and if you weren't looking too closely you could mistake it for a facebook game. It is horrendously overpriced though. Glad I didn't pay £45 straight on origin for it. £33 makes me feel a bit better but still. I reckon I will get a good bit of time out of it though.

Glaring issues with the game setup interface aside, I'm reasonably happy so far, it looks like fun. Granted I've not played it enough to really encounter gameplay issues yet.

For that you could get Bioshock Infinite, Bioshock 1, X-COM and another 2K game (I think)... Sad

Not that fussed on those games to be honest... Simcity in all its various guises has been a big factor in my gaming life and I wanted to try this one out. I was reluctant but boredom and no rugby today (which means no rugby club afterwards Very Happy ) means I took the cheapest plunge I could find. Would have spent at least that on beer and kebabs anyway.

Add me on Origin, we are on Euro West 6 server.
You will see the NFOHump regions when clicking on me when in game, I think there is still some cities to claim.

Didnt read the whole thread, but this is how to make easy money and lots of it.
Build 2 trade depots with one of them 2ore1alloy and the other 2coal1alloy. import coal and ore and make that into alloy and sell it. You'll be making lots of money without drilling, you just gotta keep traffic down and buy all the trucks. Once you have enough money you expand into processors, then tvs. Just import plastic and use the alloy you make. I was earning like 5M per hour after hourly losses and import costs. You might need some help from friends to unlock all this stuff or from your other cities in the region.

Now go on and fix the rest.

I am just running into trouble with tourism and weird (useless) visitors amount.
So it seems every new patch fix issues but also add new weird stuff.

A lot of people here appear to of gone and paid out for this game even with it's issues.

Why don't people just stick to playing SC4 with loads of the mods it is a far better game well not graphics wise I will give the new one that.

It's still a good game, issues aside. So is SC4. I liked the idea of the regional multiplayer but it is so difficult to get into a region with other players. Hopefully this will become easier.

If you could take the good bits out of both then you'd have a game and a half, Simcity 6 anyone Twisted Evil

The competitors at the title of the worst company in America filed a complaint saying that it's not fair to be put against EA. One of those aspirants to the title commented: " we don't stand a chance! The game is rigged! Why is even a competition as we already know the winner?! We are gtting pulverized here!"
