It's cheap compared to our usual prices for games. Valve and publishers price gouge the fuck out of us because we don't purchase enough (not a big enough market) to have any weight to demand lower prices.

I got it from the UK GamersGate about $44 AUD and you get the 3 bonus games plus $15 store credit. Seemed to be the best deal for us aussies that i could find.

Am I the only one who thinks this might turn out to be really repetitive like Bioshock 2 mostly was as well as large portions of Bioshock 1?

I want to play for the story and artwork with some shooting thrown in, but a lot of the trailers have shown some repetitive enemy fights.

Restart steam/pc?

Do I have to change any region settings on my steam account? Last time I did this it was for Mass Effect 3/Origin, a release date checked launched when you tried to play. Never tried with a steam key

EDIT: Closed everything and connected, 6 hours until unlock!

IMO this game is overhyped and will flop. I think it will be an average maybe above average game but nothing special. People are getting shammed by the marketing just like all the other recent games.

Shammed by marketing, previews, game videos, hands on reports, and review(singular). And by all other recent games do you mean just Aliens?

@ all the people arguing about the 30GB install size:

This is just recommended free disk space and not the actual size of the game.

http://store.steampowered.com/app/49520

Borderlands 2 has 20GB recommended HD space but the game (without DLC) took 7.5 and even with all DLC released to date it is 'just' 13 GB.

Maybe with all DLC Infinite will need 25-30GB.

You're blind if you think only the recent Aliens game was this way.

I hope you're wrong about that and this will be just as enjoyable as the first Bioshock (for me at least).... ^_^

I'm kind of worried about this too, which is probably why I haven't preordered it yet Laughing

Dont worry guys. It is one of best games ever. I've played 3h of it on 360 and barely made myself to stop. I preordered pc version for a reason

Only problem might be if the game does need to download 10gb of info on release, Trial VPN might not like that/go at a reasonable speed.

their servers are pretty fast. if it really needs to download a lot of files you can just disconnect after it started the download. it'll stop for a second and resume with full speed Smile
done that several times with region locked games.

Best deal is to build computer to your friend with AMD graphics card, and then you get in exhange code for Bioshock: Infinite Smile Laughing. Or just look some forums where people is selling the AMD codes for around 20 dollars.

Where can I see a count down for Europe? The ones I found all say 18 hours to go, which isn't right (right?)

Too much hype Smile I will patiently wait for isodemo - in the end it's just another FPS with tiny amount of RPG elements, meh.

Good thing I don't think RPG is the only genre worth investing money on. And no, this is clearly not "just another FPS" Smile
