That benchmark is some bullshit. I get almost constant 60 FPS with maxed out settings @ 1080p with a 660TI. Keeping shadows on ultra drops the frames into lower forties/upper thirties at times, so I switched it to very high and haven't noticed a single significant drop since. So both the minimal and average FPS is complete bollocks in those results. Now, I did get the new nvidia drivers before playing so maybe they did some wonders but still....

I read on NeoGAF that framerate drops later in the game.

The game uses FXAA by default, the thing is it blurs the textures and pretty much everything on screen. it is noticeable when you disable it but of course the jaggies become very noticeable as well. Wish there was some alternative method.

Got NVidia? Since it's UE3 I'm sure one of the multitude of SGSSAA compatibility bits for UE3 games would work for this one.

I see, but would it work for this game If I'm plating it on DX11 instead of DX9?

Few hours in, this is not nearly as good as Bioshock. Uses the same tricks but as ive seen them allready they dont work as well any more. Rapture >>> Columbia.

But this seems to be a really good mediocre game. Nothing special but solid good stuff.

audio quality is great, friendlies model repetion sucks ass. The rail thing rocks but thats just good level design in my book (allmost 0 freedom this far).

Just doesnt capture like rapture

Found a way to get the saves to work.

As ridiculous as it sounds, if you copy the contents of Binaries\Win32\Profile\Saves to the root drive you installed the game to before loading the game up then it'll load up your save data. Seems the crack keeps trying to look for the saves in the root drive for some derpy reason. It's a minor annoyance to have to copy the savedata folder and profile.bin to C: every time I start up the game, but at least it works now.

It maybe works, try it if you want to, i guess the proper is on the way.

No, it only works in DX9. According to what I've read, you lose out on some shadow detail, better DoF and better SSAO. Might be worth it for pretty much perfect anti-aliasing? Up to you.

So got to my first upgrade choice-
+health
+shield
+mana

and im feeling tad lost

i dont really remember whether it was possible to play bioshock as a "mage on steroids" lol
Considering that there is no mana autoregen it does seem doubtful. At least in this game.

What did you choose? =)

PS im playing in on nvidia card, latest drivers, no crashes so far(legit version)

Does this game even work in dx9? I thought it's only dx10-11.
