Nah it makes a lot of sense if they do A Total War Warhammer after Rome 2 + expansion and DLCs. Shogun got its sequel just recently, no one wants Empire back ( I hope), Rome is getting the long awaited sequel, Medieval is in the middle...Not a whole lot of era they can do, might as well use the Warhammer then.
