When I am "trying" to play Fable, when I establish a conversation, the subtitles flicker, anyone know what the problem may be?

I have GeForce FX 5200, 1024 MB RAM, 2 gig CPU.

Thanks in advance.

I think I found a posible solution. At first I thought that this was because of the Vertical Sync but while I deactivated the option while I was playing I still had the problem. Then I exited the game created a diferent profile and deactivated the vertical sync from options in the main menu and it worked or at least it seems so.
You could also try lowering the shadow quality but that is optional.I think that the game doesn't aply changes corectly if you change options(presing escape while ingame). So you have to exit the game and enter again.
If understand any of the things above it should work...sorry about my bad english... Very Happy

Never mind what I said...just change the refresh rate to a suported value(in my case 85HZ) and you won't have any more problems.Sorry about double posting.

Turn of anti-alias in the game's video options. Worked for me.

Anti-alias was always off for me by default. I believe the game detected my system settings and found that it was too crappy to handle AA anyways, so that's why it was already off.

My CPU is 1.8 GHz. Yes, not too good, but still, shouldn't be related to the flickering problem since the game actually runs perfectly fine - surprisingly.

Maybe try setting AA to 2x from off?? Its worth a shot. I know it helped me with the flickering, but I set AA to 4x, then started the game, noticed the text flicker, and THEN set AA to 2x. Seemed to solve it for me. All other settings were at MAX except Shadows which was initially turned down by one, but I ended up bumping it to max also..
