Guys i dont mean to stir shit but i have a strong feeling that this release is a beta/preview copy of some sorts. As you can see by examining the files yourself this build was compiled on July 15th.. long before Fable TLC went gold and suspiciously close to some game magazine preview dates. Also in a magazine i read, and the IGN preview (cant find the quote right now) they stated the preview build came on 4 CD's and clocked at about 2.7GB when installed, which is pretty much exactly what this release is. The splash screen and CD file structure are also a little amateurish but obviously nothing conclusive.

I don't know, just check out the file dates for yourself, and considering problems people are having it seems pretty suspicious to me.. didnt stop me installing it but.. you know, tell me what you think.

OK m8, I agree, I'm also suspicious and because of that I'll rather wait on official release date (09/20/2005) and clone of this nice game!

Yea me too, i would imagine there is very little, if anything actually missing from this release. The retail verson will just be polished over and tweaked up a bit. Considering how long until the releasel date most people downloading this will have easily completed it by then and have little use for the retail verson. Hopefully the save games will be compatible, sometimes preview builds are fussy about that.

ummm...hurt the owner? as oppose to killing him?

And about this being a beta...I dunno, I havent had any problems/....the one problem i did fixed itself. The game mechanics seem polished and all that kinda stuff
I dont see what else they could add for the retail version.
Interesting mind u, i thought this was retail.

Did anyone of you check out the banks_dvd.ini file?

There is a lot of stuff still linking to XBox-folders, including a lot of different languages, as far as I can see languages German, French, Italian, etc etc.

Now the question is, did someone of the developers mess up with the XBox-release when they tinkered on the game...or will the end game in fact be a DVD5/9 with all languages? Unfortunately I have no info at hand on what mediumthe game went gold on, anyone know more about that?

Yeah, it is annoying when you're halfway through the game and playing as an old geezer for the rest of it. Hopefully a mod or trainer will come out where you can easily reverse this instead of having to do some glitch trick to lower your age. I think 65 is the maximum age your character can get.

It's pretty crap because there is no difference. If you dont kill Whisper you dont see her anymore anyways, u lose 10k gold and Thunder will still be pissed at you for trying to woo Lady Gray.

I actually like my character at 60years of age. He look much more brutal than the yung blokes.
You can, by looking at him, see that he has experience.

I'm searching for keys now btw, but damn, they are damn hard to find. I have been able to find 24 but thats it, there is no way in hell that I will find 30. :/

if you're playing good and want a shop but don't want to kill anyone, get them to Follow you out of town, set them to wait, and then Teleport back into town. Shop for sale Smile You may or may not need to get them drunk before they'll follow. Haven't tested this myself, as the only shop I bought I earned from killing the owner in his home (only lost like 5 points lol) and the shop wasn't worth it in the end (got maybe 600 per 3 days for a 31,000 shop).

Currently I'm using the rent/trophy glitch to save up money for the temple of avo (I'm good and don't feel like going evil just to get the sword)

You have to sacrifice children, or other young people to the evil guys in the temple. The younger the better.

That doesn't make you younger, just evil. Calm yourself AnimalMother, you might have a stroke.

Yes it does, one of the rewards they give you is 20 years off your age, you can also get the best bow in the game (the skorm bow) if you give them good sacrifices.

The more of a good guy the sacrifice is, the better the reward. For example, the merc guy at the temple of avo gives you cudos with the bad guys and they make you younger. Try it, if you don't mind being evil.

there is also an alternative for the good guys by donating alot load of money to the temple of avo, but im not sure how, i just Tsearched my money and started donating for fun (cuz i wanted to be good) and somehow i went from 42 to 38 or something, but i can't seem to do it again Sad

o yea, and if you are wondering why you are 65, it's cuz you cheated and gave yourself all the skillz Razz haha

oh..i didn't know. But I won't do it because I don't wanna be evil. But maybe someone will find another way too.

oh yeah HaschBiff thanks for the trainer budddy. Now I can get experience without becoming an old man I hope. Ill just start a new game. But something else that bothers me is how you can't upgrade health and strength without becoming the freakin hulk. My character looks like a 70 year old body builder. sexy.

Two things, guys:
1. My system consists of a P4 2600 MHz, 1 GB DDR400, Audisgy 2 ZS (Doom 3 EAX beta drivers), Geforce 6800 GT (77.77 drivers). I've just installed the game and in the first town, my framerate with everything on max is pretty low, 22-27 fps, in 1280x960x32. If I enable 4xAA, the same thing, low framerate. I tried lowering the shadow detail one step to the left, no use. I read here that the game runs well on systems with lower specs than mine. Any help?
2. I too believe that the game is some sort of a review copy...the splash screen seems rather unprofessional and the announcement of it being gold was made on 22nd of august and three days later it appeared in the scene.

Ok this really pissing me off.

U know the mission where u gotta escort ur mother from jail right? Well, everything goes good untill I get to the boss creature thing. Every fuckin time I tell her to wait and she doesnt, she follows me so as soon as the thing like snaps down at u, shes right beside me and dies and I have to go through THE WHOLE thing over again. I tried using the trainer and its the same thing, she dies in one hit. And the unlimited health trainer doesnt affect her yet it affected whisper in the area.....

Anyway, can anyone help me? possibly tell me how to get the wait command going. Cuz I'll stand there and press it a hundred times and she wont wait. Yet ive had other characters that have been following me wait when i tell them to...its really fuckin stressin me out cuz I wanna continue on in the game.

i´m stuck at the mission where you have to rescue the archeologist, these strange creatures are very tough but actually my problem is the timelimit at the end, when you see the archeologist captured at the pier in front of the boat. I just cant seem to kill all those monsters before the timer reaches zero. Any tips or hints for me ?

A good tactic to use is to lock on, on the "tentacles"?! and just when it is rollingtogether the moment before the attack just roll to the side using the block and push a side key. Then attack it. I did it like that and it worked perfect!
