the first and last one i can see some appreciation for talent in, they took some imagination and skill to put together, but its not my style.
Now the suit and tie song..its one of those "has to be a winner song, we made it sound like the other chart toppers to make sure".
I actually got a wide range of genre's just i'm really NARROW whats in that range..if that makes sense...lol

Well I find it that depending on the mood of the listener all music can be good.
I mean how many times a year you go back to listen to the doors or pink Floyd especially when you have a diverse selection to choose from. Or queens of the Stone Age and nine inch nails?
Or supremes and four tops?
Is tragic. Every year there are plenty of artists who add on top of the must listen list. And then Johnny cash gets a listen once in a while. Mercury gets a cameo at parties. Nick cave shows up when you're bored. M83 becomes background noise.
Music is becoming really intrusive lately. But you can't really ignore it cause you'll end up missing out on the new prodigy or the new Msi like artists.
Oh not saying I dont give it a listen when it comes.
Just most of it I cant make it thru the first minute or so before changing the station or closing the youtube video going "yea.. that's surely not going to be on my "casual playlist"...haha
Like the suit and tie song, I think I make it to the 3rd 'suit and tie, shit tied' lyric before I try to find something else on the radio.
Im just old and set in my ways on music. Not that I cant take in new types..just old types no matter how much they change, if I didn't like them before..I usually don't like them now either.
I think its just as I get older the window of whats 'new and good' narrows for me. each year less percentage of it is 'oh I like that' and more of its "ah..more forgettable '15 minutes of on the charts' throw away garbage'..haha. I think at this stage its pretty close to 1% to 99%..haha I can maybe think of 2-3 songs from last year I would consider 'i need to hear that again sometime'.
One day its just going to be me, my 4 songs I like playing ALL the time annoying the neighbors, yelling at kids and eating my hard candy on my porch..
