Today I saw a picture on imgur that said what is the term for this when you punch stuff and make it work, but I can't find it

I did that to the old cd deck I had in my old car. It wouldn't work so I punched it through the dashboard. After I dug it back out it never stopped working again lol.

ha, i had an oooold tv when i was young in my bedroom. no joke, i kept a couple of tennis balls next to the bed, because every now and then the picture would fuck up, so id just throw a tennis ball at it from my bed and it'd be fixed!
