when starting the game with the d3d11.exe all i get is a black screen after the tracking screen,it works fine with the other .exe...so what dx 11 files am i missing?
(is there a standalone installer for dx11?)

Yay! Just like the main game, this one has such random performance. Yesterday it ran absolutely fine. Today, on the same settings (they're quite high to be honest, which is why I was so surprised yesterday about the performance) it runs like complete shit. Changing from DX11 to DX9 also does nothing apparently, unlike in the main game.

 Yes, I'm sure the game was not going to be patched 1-day, or better yet, improved when there's still a hole fucking MONTH till release.
Seriously, I'm all for hating Ubisoft, but that's like slamming Eidos Montreal for DXHR leak and the game's performance (which was sketchy then).

Just saying... given their recent track record for performance with recent releases. Not trying to bash here. Holding out to try this one till it's released. Besides isn't it the same engine as Far Cry 3 basically?

Not sure if that is your problem, but FC3 would turn on/off V-sync. for me randomly between maps, and in my case changing the performance drastically. The in game setting didn't matter.

selected english on install, regentries are properly set to english and us. menues are english but voice over is in my windows language (i.e. german, that sucks). tried to launch if via -language english but same shit. any idea?

use the in-game language setting, it was on german for me by default too

Saves are definately not working..It does not autosave after checkpoints. Cant hit F9 cuze it says your in a mission. I got all the way to disabling the alarm and quit, and only save says 0 - beginning..rest say 'locked'

Well, I finished it, 100% in around 8-9 hours I think:

This was absolutely brilliant, one of the coolest games I've played in years. And I do see it as a complete game, not an expansion. Everything in it is extremely cheesy, but in the 80s-90s kind of way. As a game it's more like Serious Sam and Duke Nukem to be honest. It's really fast with crazier combat than it usually is in today's shooters. If you think Saints Row 3 was over the top, wait until you finish this! It's not perfect, but it does what it wants to do pretty well. It would have been cool if they went full classic shooter on it.
The good things that stood out were the main missions (especially the last 2!), the soundtrack and to some extent the graphics. I also really loved how they handled the weapons and their upgrades (mostly), with fewer weapons, but more unique.
The bad things that stood out in my case was the hand-holding in the beginning (but since it's just there, it's not such a big problem), the weird difference of performance between sessions and last but not least, the difficulty of the game. Now, the only thing that they should have done in this game's case to fix that, was increase the number of enemies... increase it A LOT! Go full Serious Sam with it, maybe with more gore too!
I love this game, I really do. What makes it so amazing is also that it came out of nowhere I guess. I hope they make more stuff like this.

Oh, I didn't realize that. I don't know about that 1 weapon though. I didn't find nor did the game give me any other weapons. The rocket launcher is the only one I can think of, but I have no idea how you get it if that's the one. I know a few enemies use them, but that's it. And you can't take their weapons since they sort of explode after they die.
Edit: No idea about that crack. I don't know what crack I have since it was included into the release I downloaded, but I didn't have any problems whatsoever.
