The Lost Room is great. And it's a closed 4 parts story.
As for Alcatraz I watched 3 episodes and they were cliche, procedural crap (IMO).

i have to admit, the pilot didn't gave me much hope for this show.
The game is fun, the show, so far, isn't. it feels like a cheap soap opera.

that was ANDROMEDA , STARGATE SG1, BABYLON 5, RED DWARF and you know what you watched it and some of those even have 10 seasons or more |

SG1 didn't pick up for me until season 3 to be honest. Wasn't interested in it until then.
I also never really watched andromeda or red warf (red dwarf was really not for me).
And I still think the pilot of this is bad, however I'll give it three more eps (like I usually do) before either watching it some more or putting it aside.

I am trying to stay focused watching the pilot. I am 20 minutes in and already annoyed by the lack of explanation of the whole background story. Some aliens came to earth, some kind of battle happened ? And 30 years later we see people and aliens living together in some kind of dystopian future somehow.

Just saw the pilot and even though i see a lot of negative reactions i must rate this higher then Terranova. Its a nice series to kill some time... nothing more.

True terranova was teribru. But so far defiance looks like a science fiction version of deadwood without the excellent cursing. I suppose things could be worse =)

6/10 for the pilot.
CGI was terribad in some scenes, I don't know how they managed to do that in 2013. Plus a few really stupid moments.
Other than that I enjoyed it, especially the women :drool:. If they get the funds it could end up something half-decent. I need a few more eps to fully judge it, but I'll certainly continue watching, not like there's any other sci-fi show at the moment.

Terrible direction is terrible.
No decent background story.
Some half-assed brazilian drama? lol.
Only good thing is Irisa.
Shame. This could've been the new Farscape. Such a wasted potential. The universe seems good, but terribad story and direction is a no-go for me. Meh.

I don't understand the background story complaints. Like most other series it's something that gets revealed over time. Plus it's pretty obvious they plan to reveal the background as a side-story using flash backs.
