Switch the PSP on and run the setup without the disk. Then you can play the demos and choose to update or not.

Oh I see! But if that was the case why would they release it with 1.52 in the first place?

Not really sure , maybe to ship all units with 2.0 would have delayed the launch , just my theory tho.

So say I downgrade to 1.50 what do I lose? And if I upgrade to version 2.0 what do I gain other than a web browser?
May the NFOrce be with you always.

Well check above... Wallpaper support more file types, though if you choose to downgrade you get
"Direct 2 Memory stick games" and homebrew applications such as emulators and new type of Shell.

as far as im concerned a web browser is a small sacrifice to pay for ability to play dumped iso's thus saving money , as with other features of 2.0 its small things like wallpaper/ video / music stuff
( allthough i have'nt really looked into the added extras of 2.0)
Mutantius's 1st post quotes the new features ...SEE ABOVE

Well that sucks lol. I really wanna change my background but the only way I can do that is if I update from 1.52 to 2.0?! Im not too bothered about the browser or getting online with it at the moment.

You can actually change the backgroud by flashing the PSP's internal memory...
and thereby replacing the originals with a pic of your choice.
