What a shit game and that for 1 of the best Paul Verhoeven movies

Starship Troopers the movie was utter and total poop. Read the book instead by Robert A Heinlein.

Why read the book? The movie has nothing to do with it, the Starship Troopers you see on the movie screen is supposed to be a scathing and sardonic attack on facism, war and current American ideals. It is very black humour interspersed with some non-stop gruesome action.

If you don't laugh at the Nazi style propaganda then fair enough I suppose your entitled to your opinion (the film certainly divides its audiences), but I found all the bad acting and digs at America to be entertaining personally. However ignoring all that it's a good action film, stupid yes, but the special effects and all the rest of it stand up.

I haven't played this demo yet, but since this engine is "supposed" to be able to handle 250-300 bugs on the map at once (for that big 'defend-the-outpost' scene), might explain with the gfx arent godlike. Just a note.

shadows, shaders and models turned on high and the gfx is far from being bad. dunno how they can manage 200 bugs at the end of the demo , but it runs smooth

I can run the demo mostly smooth with all settings max on that resolution, except no soft shadows. It's weird because I get no slowdown at the end bit, but I get slowdown right at the start in the base. Confused

Well, i played demo too, and i think that more work is needed on this game. Graphic is not so good as i expected, but i can live with this. Weapons looks kinda unfinished to. All in all, this game looks like mixed bag to me.

i have that strange laggy feel too, especially inside the base... but i think it's performance related.
if you change all settings to low, it' gone.

not the best solution, i know Razz

The game is having serious clipping issues.. First time I was stuck in a small rock, the second time i fell into the non-existing area in sand, third time i was stuck in dead monster. Frustrating Mad The uninstall followed..

Completed the demo twice now, love the mass of bugs at the end.
