How do you access the foundry, to create your dungeon? I played in the last closed beta up to lvl 16 I think and I never found the option to do that.

I tried game for few minutes. I don't like RPG system in this game... I don't like that priest can only use holy symbols as weapon. Are all classes stuck with weapon types ?
Main stat are pointless... for example intelligence on level 20 give 10% damage, 18 give 8%...
I don't know how i't is too new AD&D system but i don't like it. I looks like there is not much freedom in how you develop your character.

This game has nothing to do with d&d, it puzzles me why they used the franchise, I think it will only cost them players.
The game is a good 3th person action rpg though. Good for 20 hours of fun. I doubt it is good from a mmo point of view, but who cares, it is free.

This game's system is copied from WoW , its not D&D (not even 4th edition). Its named Neverwinter because its set in that world and it's pretty much the only thing the game has in common with Neverwinter series.
Imo, its an shallow, generic crap - uninstalled already. I don't see fans of D&D playing, enjoying this game.

That's why I stopped playing the closed beta; the game is absolutely riddled with pay-for disease. Sure you can hack and slash and play for free, but you'll run face first into a pay-wall before long, especially with the pathetic price of ID scrolls. They used to cost 800 diamonds and you could *only* get them in (insultingly rare) mob drops or from the Astral Store. You'd get a handful of scrolls every 5th level, but for a game built around loot and having almost every item drop unidentified? Disgusting.
So yeah.. either trash everything you find or sell it for a "glorious" whole copper piece, because you'll pay more than a monthly premium cost just on ID scrolls alone, let alone the new scumbag trick of keys for locked Epic boxes. GG.

But the game is in beta guise.
Seriously if I hear one other person use that argument one more time my head is gonna explode.

Game is shallow crap and I'd estimate 75% of the excitement will be dead within a month.

been playing for a couple of days and yeah the "pay to play bitch" comes around lvl 25 , removing and attaching gems to gear starts costing about 10k AD each... pretty high for being able to get 24k per day
ofc i can buy zen and sell for AD :facepalmwtfbbq

game is pretty fun and well made, its light entertainment.
its the f2p model they have that sucks, or i wouldnt even call it f2p, people keep defending it tho, wich i really dont understand
example just getting another bag takes roughly 40 days of farming crystals to afford buying it from the zen shop, wich is the only place its sold. there are drops but at higher level and extremely rare (none on my shard AH yet)
sure it CAN be done in 40 days , or you just cough up 9.99e it costs to buy the bag

Meh, the thing that stops me from playing is that i just cant make my character to look good on creation o.O lulz
It wasn't much of a problem in STO and Champions Online despite the same engine and the ugly models - because the tailor npc was free to use and i could always tweak my character..
And then Perfect World took over, and made everything in Neverwinter cash shop based -.-
Per aspera ad astra

They fixed that now. Scroll drops are much more common than they were, you also get them from some chests and stuff. The prices are heavily reduced as well. It costs 125 Astral Diamonds to get one of the highest tier ID scrolls. Now 125 may seem much at first, but for example in about an hour of fun questing at level 12, I managed to get 2700 Astral Diamonds. So the ID scroll thing seems to be a lot better now.

I played a bit and it seems okay. Will probably play more over the weekend.
Prices are ridiculous though. But that's one thing they can easily change as people start complaining. Hopefully they listen.

I'm having quite a bit of fun with this. Game systems are solid and class mechanics actually seem to be a good deal more complicated than I initially thought. Control Wizard is a ton of fun - throwing people around, slowing them, freezing, stunning, hanging in the air and what not. Can't see how can it possibly be balanced for PvP, though. The Foundry is a nice idea too - already played some pretty good adventures and I guess it's only going to get better when people start to master the tools given to them. Even for that alone, it may make a pretty good pseudo-co-op game with a bunch of friends.
Downsides include too simple dungeons, some weird animations and of course - P2W. But the last one I expected, so it's not a big deal.

It's not too bad, but there are lot of other games to spend your time on than this game IMO.
Intel Core i7 6700K @ 4.6 GHz | Asus Z170 Pro Gaming | Corsair Vengenace LPX 16GB DDR4 3200 MHz | MSI GeForce GTX 1080 FE | Samsung 850 EVO 500 GB + 250 GB | EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G2 | Fractal Design Define R5 | Noctua NH-D14
