I've read it actually did good in ratings.

The pilot was cheesy and fucking derp but still better than Revolution and first season of Falling Skies (in comparison to them of course). The only thing I liked was the theme music (hard not to as it was Sympathy for the Devil) and the looks of the Devil/Satan/whatever from hell.

The biggest LOL I had was when they suggested 7 seasons of this in the show itself by saying that they (main heroes) will have to endure seven years till the end. Laughing

I liked the ambience, atmosphere and some of the design choices (demon at the end was creepy enough). At one point I even thought: "I could actually see myself liking this"... and then they went biblical - and I mean full scale, with 4 horsemen, apocalypse and all bells and whistles... and suddenly everything felt as if someone was playing some kind of a bad joke on me There's waaay to much info cramped into the pilot. Kinda seems as if they were desperate to sell it and tried to show as much of the story as they possibly could, but the efect is not good, not good at all Also, I lol'ed hard when the horseman went Spawn on them, grabbing half a gun shop instead of one silly little axe. Moving with the times, eh?

I really can't see how they plan to make it interesting if we already have Supernatural for global hell-related shit and Grimm for weekly monsters. Even a series about that M16-bearing headless body fighting insurgents in Iraq alongside US troops would be more interesting than the current concept. Today I didn't even need to use my AK. I watched it as well, I like it. But I still have to see how they are going to turn this into a full season without going full drama-derp. I'll certainly watch another two episodes to see where this is going.
