Played a bit of MP through LiNK (btw, there are a lot of people playing this right now)... and it's very arcade-ish.

Haven't touched the SP yet though as I'm still trapped in Metro. Very Happy

Yeah, but I agree with cobALT. There is no rational reason for thinking the PS3 version has better textures. For a dev's point of view it would be retarded to have different textures even tho a BR is much larger than a DL DVD.

Yep and this is the case again here ! I compared both versions, actually languages arent taking much at all, but the prerendered cutscenes folder in the PS3 version is..................................... 9 Gigs Laughing

8 238 731 264 that how big is it after decompression from iso and removing of updates [19 023 Files, 2 860 Folders] so gog it after cleaning
and the xbox version is ENG , ESP , FRA , GER , ITA , JPN

oh and you mean the Demo folder that has all the WMV movie files , on xbox they are typical 720p30fps [1280x720p 30fps all are 7800kb/s bitrate ] and its 4 798 066 688 big

so i think on ps3 they are 1080p 24fps with 9000kb/s

huh ? what a video or few screenshots my capture kit is ready
after completing this game on 3ds all i can say its like Cold Fear but your forced to scan any shit corner of the map just to pick up items , making it a retarded game mechanic

finished 8 episodes/chapters so far, and its the best resident evil game since 4.
at times it feels alot like the old-school games, there is exploration, backtracking, some puzzles and nods to re1.
sometimes youre blasting away enemies like in re5/6 and sometimes you are actually running away and evading because youre out of ammo or going against enemies who you just cant put a dent into.

basically its a mix of classic re and modern re with all the good and bad things combined,
overall its a pretty good game so far, definitely has some survival horror in it.

Im on episode 6 now, and I must say this is the BEST RE game iv played! Surprised
Even beats RE2 and 4 imo.

8.5/10 so far.

I highly doubt it's anywhere near the quality of these two games, but heard it's better than 5 and 6. Does the game have better enemies later? All i have seen so far are bad designed poo-like monsters. Laughing

Yeah , looks and plays like old school RE..but I can't compare it to older ones I simply love them so much and they are the best in the series. Smile

And my 8.5/10 rating stands! This game felt a lot longer than it was, kinda like MGS:R. Id say its 6-7 hours long.

The story was just fantastic, and I love separate stories that meet Smile

But WTF capcom? How the hell can you make such a great game when the last one was SO average in every way. The game mechanics are of course the same, but EVERYTHING else was so much better in this game Smile

@Sabin: I know its not fair to compare it to RE2, it would be like comparing Half Life 1 with Half life 2. Its just not fair. But iv never had such a great RE experience myself Smile

Thats what i thought, the best console and PC RE game in some time is a port from 3DS that wasnt even planned to be on other platforms in the first place. If they would put the money they spent on RE6 behind this kinda game, it'll be a winner.

Are there any noteworthy boss fights or do we keep popping the same bunch of shit-breed monsters from the demo?

If it's the latter, then don't even bother comparing it to Resident Evil 4's quality.

The game has 3 real boss fights, two of them are awesome. The last boss is pretty damn challenging if you're not focused Wink

If you replayed RE 4 now, im actually pretty sure you would agree with me. I completed RE4 in coop and really loved it. Did it again alone at a dry period a year back or so and found it to be good, but its like my mind overrated it the first time. Well, that goes for a lot of things we judge I guess, but still :/

Anyways, you guys should stop acting like you have lives and play this game Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
