That's actually true. Thing is, I don't watch stuff like this at all but the main video in this thread was so fucking out of this world that I had to watch some more episodes.
I don't see anything wrong with watching this, though the British one is far better. It's more about the kitchen and the restaurant rather than the drama.

Yeah, we got this kind of shows in Germany too and they're not so much about the drama than this one. But that drama is so fucking hilarious because these people are completely nuts and delusional. Americans.
Ahahaha. Watched the whole episode. Calling people who say anything negative, haters and refuse to acknowledge any faults and acts generally delusional. She reminds me of a certain someone on this forum

Indeed! We have so many dumb shows here too, but nowhere as entertaining and ridiculous as these ones.
Ours are mostly cringe-worthy in a sad way, nothing even remotely comparable to this:
My guess is that the whole restaurant (ABC) is a money-laundering machine anyway, and they just need to keep up the facade. No other explanation out there really that would explain why someone would invest over a million bucks into this. From the way it looks i don't think they are even covering their monthly costs, so there needs to be some incentive to have this going apart from the food.
“The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion.”
- Albert Camus
I tend to believe the money laundering scam myself. For one the girl is a convicted bank fraud felon. Using a false identity to obtain a bank loan. If this was before G man sugar daddy was around IDK. And sugar daddy, oh boy. After legal gambling went corperate, the mob just shifted gears into other venues. Unions and land development are huge rackets in Vegas. Just home builders in itself is a shady buisnes. I used to sub contract. Here is how it works. They build a few models, and line up buyers. Then they get the subs to build the home, and months after the job is finished, you are chasing them around trying to get paid. Meanwhile you fronted all the material and labor, and depending on how many jobs were completed, yet not paid for, you by law do not have the luxury of making your employees wait till you get paid so you end up borrowing to cover pay roll. So in the end the contractor gets to build homes by recieving no interest loans from their subs, who take all the risk, and no one gets paid till he already has his profit in pocket. It gets even deeper than that, but you get the point i hope, and thats even without the mob involved.
Is it wrong to enjoy this show? I didn't laugh so much in a long time but these people are just so fucked in their heads that it's unbelievable funny
Here if you feel bad...
First episode of the UK series (it came before the american), much much less drama, more about how restaurants actually work, a real Ramsay and a really dumb chef so laughs guaranteed... The UK ones actually got me hooked. Now i watch the american ones but i hate myself for it.
