hahaha game is awesome, just a borderlands in the west and not talking about the same graphics; also they kept the cover system from bound in blood and the main guy's voice and dialogues are just as funny as those of ray's in BIB.Too bad it has fuckin black borders even on 16:10 Mind Is Full Of Fuck

It has black borders on all sides of the screen, right? I've seen that in videos and this really is just for artistic reasons. And the way they did it, I can understand in a way since it fits with the art style of the game and it's stylish. BUT, it's also really crappy since it just takes screen space. Is there no option for it? I'm sure there is one in a file if not in the game and it's still on their same engine, isn't it?

For me,that's not really a problem. But still a quite annoying artistic choice.
On the other hand this game is awesome. Reminds me of bulletstorm in a way...I just keep searching corners to find secrets and shooting pumpkins. Embarassed

Thank god. Another redeeming factor then. Hopefully it keeps adding up. I might download the ISO demo later today.

The legit version uses Steam's "cloud" service to save (Offline if it's disabled, synching online if enabled.), I am unsure where Reloaded has their variant on it but I think it's C:\ProgramData\Reloaded\*APPID*

For me it's
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\*SteamID*\204450\remote\out\profiles
(204450 being the AppID Steam has for the game.)

EDIT: Screenshots, because that's pretty much all I post and what works best. Very Happy

Tried something similar now that you mentioned it.

Starting the exe directly via help from steam_appid.txt causes the game to use that location, launching the game via Steam switches it to C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\techland\cojgunslinger\
(And it seems it uses that location as primary if it already exists.)

Dead Island and Riptide do the same.
(No idea how the cracked versions work.)

In my images?

You're right now that you mention it they are still there even after the cinematic intro ends and the game actually begins.
(Unless they disappear later and this is still some intro tutorial.)

Also seems Techland is learning, the pak archives are still somewhat like .zip files but they are password protected now.

Learning, yeah... fuck them. I have less and less respect for them with each game they put out. People have been expressing since forever how much they want mod tools for their games, especially in Dead Island's case. What do they do instead? Lock up the files even more! It seems you're right, they're passworded so I can't really look for the file with the black borders.

I think I found the files, but I can't be sure since I can't get them out of the .pak file.

Data0.pak > data > scripts:

varlist_screen_border.scd
varlist_screen_border.scr

It might be these ones.

Mouse feels TERRIBLE with this game.
It looked like microstutter to me, so I forced triple buffering and vsync + 59fps limit which helps with every microstutter I can possibly have on amd and it not helped...

but You know what helped? PLUGGING the 360 controller. Looking around is very smooth with controller but it's stuttery with mouse.

quality port over here (sound is good and graphisc are not bad either actually but no aa option ingame so forcing 1440p downsampling)

Oh man, no Toggle Aim Down Sights option - that's unacceptable in an FPS. Any INI's editable to fix this? Sad

Has anyone found a fix for the stuttering? it´s somewhat similar to dead island´s riptide -i know, the game is from techland as well, so no suprise there.

Other than that and the black bars, the game is actually very fun. Nice story telling, graphics could use some AA but otherwise ok and shooting is solid.

Well it's meant as a somewhat sarcastic post but I was under the impression that Techland kinda hates modding thus why there's no support and why the files have now been locked down entirely by passwording them to further prevent people from tampering with their games, for a while until someone cracks the passwords. Smile
(Then again Nvidia featured that Riptide modding contest but that's probably more on their incentive than Techland's.)

The files themselves are mostly text and easily altered so at least that's not a issue.

EDIT: Oh.
