Does the version number really bother you that much? Would it have made any difference, if it had been v1.4 or vA4355.3FHITB43?

v1.4 would have been more realistic. Wink

Why?

I don't pay any attention to the version system any piece of software uses. It's the quality and nature of the content, that each update brings forward, that matters, not which number is attached to it.

Sure.

Still, I would have called an update which bring "bigger city maps" v2.0
Here we are @ v4.0 while most of the changes are fixes or reactivated existing features.

Anyway, it is better than nothing.

Shall we start a 4.0 game with the new region Lurker?

You know, EA's announcement made me laugh. A small part in their message sums up Simcity problems perfectly. Just scroll down to the last part of this post...

Nothing wrong here actually.
It is the "Currently In Development" thread, they use it regularly for stuff in progress.
This explain why so many edit.

Anyways edited 9 times now ^^

For the region, as you wish, why not try the new one Wink

Not sure if your trying to insult, or compliment them..your failing to do either with your wording.
Your both pointing out how they fucked up, and at the same time trying to rectify it to make it right.

A simple "LAWL, whateva EA!" would have done just as well to display your blind hatred and condescending smugness you pulled off so well before. You didn't need to try to get so analytically descriptive on it, you screw up your own punchline.

So, who all gets access to the Park? Those that bought it prior to launch or those who bought it after launch when they were handing out free games from Origin?

I got it, so it might be a frame from preorder until a certain date after the launch. Confused

Here is dah thing :

Kinda ... I don't know ... cute and weird at the same time Laughing

And also the new region :

Finally a region where all cities are fully linked together and are working on the same "great work"

Chat still lagg sometimes, maps still tiny but no other issues encountered so far, but we have to reach 200k+ cities before stating anything Wink

Update 4.01

Quote:
We are releasing a new client version which addresses an issue we have had some reports of post Update 4.0.
Those reports involve trying to load a city and being stuck in perpetual loading and having to quit out of game to get out of the loop.

This will be available the next time you restart SimCity and the Launcher will automatically update. If you are in your city playing then you do not require this updated version and can continue playing. The update will apply the next time you start playing.

Is this guy serious ?

Now I am thinking of it, it may be true, the only abandoned building I saw were due to fire or criminality.
Before 4.0 there were "out of money" complain spreading everywhere.

Seems like my bulldozer are going to take a break Laughing

I just want to play a bit more before screaming victory.

To the people playing in NFOHUMP 4.0:

Quote:
Crime isn’t contained within individual cities. Like air pollution, it can spill out into the region, as criminals travel to neighboring cities to commit their crimes. Even if your city is relatively crime-free, with few or no resident criminals, your city may still attract criminals from nearby cities with crime problems. Since crime is a regional problem, all mayors should cooperate to fight it by volunteering their police vehicles. Any time you build a Police Station or Police Precinct, you’ll have patrol cars you can share with neighboring cities. Open the Region View, then access the Police menu to begin allocating your police vehicles to nearby cities. In addition to patrol cars, you can also volunteer detective cars, crime prevention vans, and police helicopters. As with fire and health vehicles, volunteering a police vehicle doesn’t leave your city unprotected—each vehicle you volunteer can cover both cities simultaneously. As a bonus, your police vehicles also receive a fee for each criminal they catch in a neighboring city—these fees appear in the Budget panel’s Recent Transactions window. Beyond earning fees, fighting crime in neighboring cities will help keep your city safe by removing criminals from the region.

So please share your services with your neighbours and everyone will benefit. Thanks.

I haven't touched simcity in about 7 weeks due to work etc (have hardly had any game time at all Sad ). Updated and played for an hour or so tonight and have to say I am impressed. Things which didn't really work before now do, I found a region with a space first time and the region seems to work as intended.

The small city size is a glaring issue though but things seem to have improved quite a bit since I was last playing.

At this point, even if they gave large maps as a free upgrade tomorrow I couldn't support the game or accept it after the way they've behaved and repeatedly insulted the customers and fans.

Actually redstar1 is right here.

Game finally works as intented.
There are still minor issues left but so far so good.

Nevertheless, v4.0 should have been the game state at launch Mad
So the fuss would have been only about tiny maps and always on connection ...

... thinking of that, the launch would have failed anyway Laughing

By the way, NFOhump 4.0 region is full and was set to public due to the lack of motivated humper.

Now that the game is almost totally fixed, maybe it is time for a new "on invite" NFOhump region Smile
(The new 7 linked cities region is excellent btw)

i wish i could join, but games like this need a single player element. Its the kind of game I play when Im on a long train/plane journey or stuck in a hotel with no wi-fi.

I am sure there are thousands of people who feel the same.

Cities XL will suffice

Getting help from / helping others when a catastrophe occur is really cool.

But yes, it is a real shame there is no offline mode. Sad

@redstar1 @scaramonga Add me on Origin already Very Happy

Ok now, no doubt it is time to start a new region.

Meanwhile, first pay DLC is now available :

9.99€ Sad
Looks interesting though, but it will eat the half of your already limited city map space.

2 new free DLC out as well, 2 building : Metro and Micromania commercial building which add happiness and $$$ to your city.

I just hope they will made special offer like -50% soon Very Happy
