I hope they fix the zombies as well.

First of all, why the fuck are zombies runing like savages and climbing fences?! Even the ones with barbed wire on them -- witch cannot be climbed by players/NPCs. It not only looks silly, it can also brake the gameplay/atmosphere. They need to fix that asap!

Then, the zombies in general, they behave unzombie ish at times. They look like they're suffering from split personality disorder. One moment they're all zombieing classic zombie style, and the next they get all psyched like some 24 days later zombies on red bull.
It looks goofy a hell! Laughing


They need to take note from the zombies in Dead Rising. Especially if they're going to spawn zombies around you every 5 sec.

Actually all that is explained pretty completely by radio broadcasts and a couple missions that explain the couple types as well as the different reactions day/night. Perhaps you haven't triggered that yet? I don't know how it gets triggered but random radio broadcasts talk about it after the Army arrives and when they start talking about

As for climbing and different speeds depending on which ones. I personally LOVE it. In fact it was the first thing that made me say "WOW" when they chased me right up a ladder and across 2-3 roofs. Or when a zombie infastation followed me like a rampaging horde across the fields towards the second smaller town:) But each to their own of course. To me it was refreshing compared to Dead Rising which is my favorite zombie game of all time.

I can see the barbwire fence issue but to me they are undead and probably don't care about hand scrapes:)

Well I hate energized zombies. They just come off as infected/mutants. I want the classic Night of the Living Dead zombies back in my games.

They should have don't that and balanced it out with an infection meter that getting close to them would posed a bigger thread/add more tension then hacking and slashing monsters. You don't have a main char here, you can lose characters any time so this would have made great sense for this game and add more of that sense of dread characteristic to a zombie scenario.



As for the fat giant zombies, shoot them in the head to stun them, then shoot them again to damage them. It takes a while but it's doable, especially if there's a house near by that you can take cover in as they can't fin through doors/windows.

Meeehhh.

Though I could see myself using that if at some point I lose my main characters. And that inf ammo sounds good because that fucking backpack fills so fast, especially when you stumble on ammo and you don't have the weapons on you. Ammo witch btw uses up a slot that could fit a damned shotgun/riffle, and maxes out a slot at 30 bullets. Mad

It's really a shame seeing this survival game..rough around the edges with some fantastic ideas getting XBLA rls..and on the other side a quick cash in POS games like The Walking Dead for which they intend 50 bucks , damn I want a proper big game like State Of Decay ! It's sad to see that survival horror genre has come to this..fingers crossed for The Evil Within.

Yeah I know but that option was turned off in my case..fuck.. Mad as segobi said , at least I wasn't that long in the game..but again I have to play it for ~ 2h to catch up my previous position.

worst survival game ive played sadly.. whats the point of it when the zombies are as easy to kill as schoolgirls, i wasnt afraif at all when playing, just took em on hand to hand, didnt even bother with a weap, spam X til on ground then LB+Y

i swear if games get more derp imma /wrist

I lost one of my chars in a so stupid way and I raged.. Rage but still it was awesome to see the game saved and loaded me in the different char..I couldn't do nothing , no previous save..nothing , you fucked it up dumbass..and at the end I loved that , makes you care for your characters even more , great stuff. Very Happy

Yeah, you feel so damn stupid when you loose one of your characters :/ But REMEMBER, quitting just before shit hits the fan actually works Wink Saved me once, I was going back to rest because my guy sounded like he had asthma after a 24 hours+ doing missions. I was going pretty fast in one of the sports cars, hit a small stone, flipped and landed on the roof.... and zombies where coming from 3 directions Neutral ...so happy I could quit at that moment! Very Happy

This isn't a scary game, frankly I don't know what gave you that idea in the first place. This isn't a game like Condemned or Amnezia, it more like Dead Rising.

Zombies are never though, in small numbers and especially at the start. Clearly you haven't meet a hoard.

The scary part comes into play when you're going through the streets, having small fries zombies roaming around, easy to pick off, but if you're not careful they will distract you and probably alert the 3 hoards roaming the nearby streets. Also you're running low on medicine, you have 1 weapon that's about to break, no more than 5 bullets in you weapon and you are tired. But you have to find some food because the people back at the camp are counting on you.

Things can go south really fast and when they do, the risks are pretty high. That's the scary part, not the zombies.

This game is about surviving and having a sense of dread.

played for 2 hours and it was just "follow the waypoint" stuff the whole time, zombies are so weak its laughable, theres no sense of survival or dread, theres plenty of everything everywhere, ai is horrible so its real easy to pick off bigger packs, instead of being "oh shit zombies i better be quiet" its more like "oh fun zombies lets go hand to hand and smash some face" attacks basicly perm stagger zombies so keep mashing X til they hit the ground then finish em off with LB+y, but most of the time ull get lucky and smash their head before that happens



the skill system is pretty solid i guess and the game seems pretty polished graphic and function wise, but its way too easy, def doesnt give you a sense of surviving, more theme parked zombie fun with a twist

Well. Since last weekend I have pretty much only played this. Having to restart once.
I just could NOT lose my main guy...only to play about 15 hours and lost him again.....RAGE.

Simply amazing time.

We don't know for sure, but it's looking like it's a 360 release first - then the devs will finish work on PC. I'm not shouting joy from the rooftop about month(s) delay(s), but at least it will only be a couple of months and not YEARS like some other developers.

This is good news because I have easily doubled that amount of hours in my save game. Most likely from doing the random events all the time and not following the storyline. Its been such a grand time. If they polish this thing up it will be so fun. And yes PC version has to come out!

No point in completing the game before you really feel you want to, because the ending is very anti climax. On the other side, you can actually continue playing after you completed it, as in; you start from the checkpoint before the last mission, but as always at your house Smile

There is one good reason to do lots of main missions early tho, to get the machine gun Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
