Must be just me then, but the gameplay wasn't very engaging. Had to turn it off and finish Metro Last Light in ranger mode to cleanse the stench of derp from me. The game almost played itself, tell me it gets better after chapter 3
No, it's early days as i've only played for 30mins. However i do get the same feeling of being completely walked through so far, and combo's aren't entirely my cup of tea either!
Got to say though, nice ass. I found myself drawn in and viewing it from all angles during the cut scenes
Played it for ~2h , beatifully crafted world , great atmosphere , interesting story and memory rmx is really a nice touch..although linear in every aspect so far , combat is really bland...wtf were they thinking , platforming is almost automatic. Dat marker , damn..no freedom at all and that's a shame. That Fury mode is what combat should be like and that music during combat can be really weird sometimes..
Combat and platforming are the weakest points , shame really cause everything else is great..
No I know it's out, just not seeing it upped anywhere - not even a hit on TPB. NZBRUS says's its upped on Usenet, but looking in that group returns nada. If I was still paying for Giganews I'd be outraged.

This is what bugs me about this game. Developers seems to be spend tons of time making the game world, which is absolutely amazing, but combat and platforming are not good.
They have attempting to copy Batman AA/AC fighting system, but it's not as fluid and fun.

X360 vs official press screen. I didn't have the press screen with me at the time when I took this so it's not really the best of comparisons but close enough. It was from memory...pun inteded.
It looks nice on the 360 but I stopped playing for now. Waiting for the PC version.
I dunno about the X360 version, but the game looks absolutely gorgeous on PS3, developers came a long way off to program properly on PS3, that's for sure : the game looks like a 1st party game, definitely not a 3rd party game, and these days I'm seeing FSAA on PS3 games, which is quite rare !
This is one of them !
Also, I love the atmosphere : reminds me of Omikron the Nomad Soul and Beyond Good & Evil (both games were made by frenchies ). The music is really nice too.

I would never expect a half-assed PS3 version from Capcom. Looking forward to my pre-order next Thursday!

I will be talking about this during my Angry Centaur review but...it REALLY reminds me of Omikron and Longest Journey. Really well done damn.
So i finished it, and it was awesome, start to finish. Took about 10 hours i guess, 83% completion rate.
9/10
Im still stuck on episode 5 Its when you have no abilities (walking in the lab) and have to get past some drones. There are two identical corridors down some stairs. It looks like you have to hide in one of the rooms while the drones get past, but there is no way to open the door.
No worries: found a walktrough to get past

I kind of like the gameplay, but i don't have time to play this through yet. Am i the only one who thinks the hovering memory thing out of the neck looks completely ridiculous? Where is it when they lie down? Sit in a train? Does it fly outside the train or push itself against you?

Nope, it looks ridiculous, and feels contrived only for the sake of this being a game. You'd think there are better ways/parts on the body to project that.
And no, since it's a projection, it shouldn't be affected by physics. Although... I am just at ep 2 so maybe the game drops the ball with that for the sake of spectacle -- like that robot, at the start, that has a projected mouth for the sake of roaring.
But I really do like the game. As so many people have said, it has a Omikron/Dreamfall LJ/Heavy Rain vibe. Really do like.
Unfortunately, even though I can see this being a critical success, I doubt it will a financial one as well; due to insanely high expectation from publishers these days (remember that TR article not too long ago?).
