100 agree with Pey.

I do understand other people opinions better than most ppl here...

It's just. .. i feel that every time a masterpiece comes and tries to have some individuality art etc... it gets bashed for even trying.

This game have atmosphere, graphics, music, story and seeing. Customizable combat and so on.

It is different than other games but still cod game will score 9 or 10.

It have it flaws like pour camera but nothing groundbreaking

Even those of us that want the choice of FOV settings for our games? Troll Dad

... but yes, I'm also with you guys. I'm on Episode 5 and thoroughly enjoying the game, the combat is fun (once you get used to the hit pause), the visuals are sublime and the plot is engrossing - if a little obvious. The only true downside to the game is the wasted opportunity with the platforming -- it could have easily been so much better and more useful. The game is absolutely an 7.5 maybe 8 out of 10 so far.

I honestly don't care about a certain game's review scores. I never pay attention to them. In the end, I only care how I feel after playing a game.

You like the game? Yes, you do. You think it's great? Yes, you do. Then, that's what matters in the long run and not the score a reviewer a thousand LY's away from you has awarded the game with.

I just feel bad for the devs. Low undeserving scores like the ones the game had can lead to the studio to close.

The same thing happened to grin with bionic commando, though i dont feel sorry for terminator salvation“s game Very Happy

I'm inclined to compare this to Oni as well. Oni and, surprisingly, Mirror's Edge -- it has the feel of a third-person Mirror's Edge.

This game is a 6/10. Combat does get better than the initial encounters but the game is still very bland Neutral

Yeah, I agree that this is a 6 or a 6.5 at most. It's just a terrible GAME, there's no other way to put it. It can be the most amazing interactive movie as far as I'm concerned, that doesn't make it a good nor decent game and that's what I want to get from something that's supposed to be a game.

Because the game has much bigger potential in its core concept. They made a beautiful, detailed world but the game is one linear, as rail gun, corridor. There is no exploration and even despite the fact you can climb and jump - all the places where you can do so are carefully limited. With their visual style and art-design and setting they achieved great atmosphere but the story and writing is barely a match to it. What would a smart developer do in this case. Right, add more interactivity then, tied with gameplay. But you can read few previous pages to see there is no interactivity. The game is heavily scripted and guides you by the hand, like nanny, but at the same time she doesn't bother to scold you every time you try to run away - simply because there is nowhere to run. Nothing to find, to achieve, except what is on the plate.

It is pretty, it is well built but.. that is.

For some reason I expected more or less sandbox'y approach like in Batman/Dishonored, I don't know why. May be because it seemed the as something expected. It would be awesome. Side missions, exploration, secrets, ability to purchase upgrades in shop, etc.

Anyway, I already deleted it, I'm not going to play it past that bar scene (altho I skipped through few let's play just to see some areas in the middle of the game), but I managed to make some screenshots and this one is kinda curious:

What is this android doing? Is she... trying to smoke or pretending to? Or it is a prostitute robot (the pose)? In both case it is quite silly, in the second - really tells a lot about fucked up society, haha.

I'm curious, though, will be there any Lenny/Asimov reference further?

Those robots can be found doing a number of odd chores and in various odd situations as well, unsure if that's explained further or it's just some assistant/robotized helper.
(Sleeping, playing instruments, wandering around outside, posing and other stuff.)

Yeah, this kind of weird. Nor in let's plays not on other forums I didn't notice (any mention) that the game ever explained anything about them, seems like they were part of setting and environment like drones or billboards. It literally feels like the devs didn't really bother developing solid and consistent gameworld and sometimes androids were used instead of humans models just because.
Weird but whatever.

There's in-game lore explaining what the droids are, where they came from and what they're used for.

I played the first couple of chapters using the keyboard and mouse and then tried my Xbox 360 controller replaying chapter 2 and I am enjoying this more using the controller. It's nice as I can walk around looking at the nice backgrounds and set pieces and don't have Nilin running all the time.

Just about all 3rd person games i rather use a gamepad with, 1st person shooters..i go with a keyboard and mouse when im using my gaming PC.

That said..this game was honestly made for a gamepad and i agree it's a lot more enjoyable with a gamepad.

As for the game, i am enjoying it. Yeah its far from perfect and has its problems but just about any game does. It's not a bad game, its not a great game...it is what it is..it is a good game that tries to bring some fresh idea's to gameplay. You gotta appreciate that, at least. I am so tired of military shooters using the same type of story,etc...it is nice and refreshing to play a game like Remember Me regardless if it's shortcomings.

Overall on average the game is about a 7 from what im seeing with all the various reviews being published..which is about right imho. And when is a game averaged in the 7's bad? Heck..even games that were scored on average of 6's ...i have enjoyed some of my best gaming with.

I tend to look at the positives of a game and try and not dissect the game for it's negatives...because if you begin to get into that habit...it will stop you from enjoying a lot of games.

Peace

PLaying with m/kb here and I have no problems plays like every other tps, the mouse is a bit slow but its not that bad. I can move the camera around so fluidly while doing everything else which can not be done with a gamepad, no a tps will never be more enjoyable on a gamepad, m/kb is much better everytime FOR ME.
