That's right! my bad Very Happy And with all the crazyness in the rivalry between those 2 in the last few years, one can expect it to be the other way around for the new releases in both series. The new PES might end having the best graphics and animations ever, but I wouldn't be so surprised if Konami took a steaming dump over PES 2013 and screwed up the gameplay in all ways possible Laughing

Yeah, knowing Konami's past anything can happen Razz

The animations shown in the short E3 video posted by imaiden are pretty damn good though, if they manage to implement them without breaking the balance of the game, then it's going to be interesting - even if it's a false 'next-gen' game. I still can't understand that decision

This can be said for 99% of the games these days.

I don't disagree Laughing

Is that the new engine in action?

If it is, I am massively disappointed.

the basic animations (run, dribble) remind me a bit the old pes5-6 era, which is not necessarily bad... if this was 2007

Well it looks like it plays very similar to the previous versions. Which for me, are terrible games of football.

I'm complaining they have pinched the confetti idea off FIFA Very Happy

seriously though it does look better looking at the vid, animations look smoother but like someone said its hard to judge without playing it. I do have concerns that the keeper made absolutely no effort to save that goal though

Exactly, nowhere as "revolutionary" as they wanted us to believe...yeah some animations have been improved (it wasn't hard Laughing ) but the rest looks samey. I hope it's possible to remove those arrows because they're awful..

You can tell right away its more realistic because Robben cant pass. When you control Robben, pass button is dead.

Well this looks a lot better than the first video. Surprised we are seeing a gameplay video so early.

Apart from jokes, the gameplay seems quite slow (which is good) and physics are more unpredictable than before with irregular bounces/realistic long balls. I like that. And the silly arrows are gone Razz

That video does look a lot better. It still seems like the players are stuck in jelly when they turn.

Next gen maybe..I mean the next-next one Laughing
Seriously, I don't know if that Ignite engine will be good, but the jump in quality that we were expecting doesn't seem to be there.

Konami decided to stay safe with a less expensive semi-oldgen(upgradable) engine, whereas Fifa...unfortunately I'm under the impression that they don't want to revolutionize the gameplay anyway, making it more simulative, since that would hurt the online part. And we know how much EA care about that..
