The barbershop is IMO one of the best levels in the game and I didn't spend much time on it, as I didn't find it too hard and it offered a good variety of options.

The level where I spent the most time and I really suffered from that trial and error shit was the front area of the motel (with the gas station) where the sibling nuns where waiting for you. That place was so packed that the only way I could get past it with Silent Assassin rating was putting to sleep 80% of the guards :S Very awkward and frustrating.

I think it's absolutely worth 10€ even if you're a hardcore Hitman fan and could be disappointed by the game mechanics (or the layout of some of the maps). What you get for a legit version of the game is access to Contracts mode, where you will be able to play custom missions made by the community based on the missions of the single player campaign. And there's a shitload of them.

were you attemptiong suit only? if not, its quite easy with only one guard taken down for clothes, no detection and highest rating. and no throwables abuse, just classic hitman gameplay Smile

Its perfectly playable with latest patch. I started playing again and did 3 missions with all challenges and then on Pursuit with no much hustle.

Nice, legit owners of Absolution on Steam have a tab in Properties called Beta where you can switch the game to "launch_433_1 - Launch Day version" and that trainer with cvars is now working again. Very Happy

Fuck them and their platform specific content. I'm glad I didn't buy this one. I won't even pick it up if I see an ultra low sale price now. Yaarrrrrrr, fuckers.

So I finally finished it. Jesus. I stopped myself from finishing it almost 1,5 years ago just when I reached the orphanage level.

I don't know what worse, the stupid unreliable mechanics, the story, the characters.... It's a fucking mess.

I hope IO really steps their game up for the next game.

But it's still better than Conviction.

I got up to the roof top level where you're surrounded in mist, I don't know how close that was to beating it but that was it for me

That was actually the second to last level, it literally HAS to take you less than 5 minutes because of the bomb timer Laughing

I shot up pretty much every level after the one where you infiltrate their base through the mines, it was just pointless

Yeah, pretty much this, maybe I didn't shoot people that often, but because of the incredible eyesight of the guards and their ability to see through walls more often than not I broke the necks of the dudes I grabbed, simply because I didn't have time for 47 to choke a guy for 20 years, waiting to get shot in the face.

hitman 2 is still my favourite, greatest mission variety and just overall most fun.
it was also the first game i experienced ragdoll physics in, so revolutionary back then, in a bazaar level i killed everyone and then spelled a word with all the corpses. So Much Win

It really was, the simplicity with it was great. An easy and stupid story combined with a cool way of (albeit a bit bugged) controlling friendly AI really made the game a ton of fun. Very Happy

i have never finished it, but the few levels i played were intresting and special in a way.
every now and then, we witness "special " games, for me another exemple is bet on soldier, i don't know why, but i loved that game i guess it was the atmospher and the idea Razz
