All of that and meeting Romanian workers in Sweden and gamers online is what gives ME the bad impression of Romania.
Yes, yes I'm back.
Somewhat.

I don't know. The world needs a bit of chaos and we all take life sooo seriously. No matter what this world throws at me I have the feeling there is the strong possibility I just might always be happy.
So many possibilities out there.

Yeah, well, you know me, so that must count for something.
Who am I trying to BS, everyone in Romania is exactly how you imagine, save for very few.

I have no doubt there are plenty of gentle, good Romanian people. But the country as far as I have read and heard is very corrupt and ... well, in deep poverty. There are dozens of romanians (and bulgarians) in Sweden playing accordion, guitar, and begging on the street here and they do not hesitate to scam/pick-pocket or behave rudely. They are of course survivalists... broken down by a failing state/government. But they give me a rather poor impression of your home country (unfortunately).

Problem is, those are mainly gypsies, a nomad tribe which came a long time ago in our country and neighboring states and slowly started to bring their customs and behavior to the general population thus resulting in the bulk of the population being a civilization based mainly on advancing one's social status, which in turn results in extreme corruption, absolutely no regard for the well being of others and so on.
Indeed, you are correct, we are in poverty and led by a failing/failed government. Two years ago they tried to topple the government with protests, do you know what changed? Absolutely nothing. Why? Because any and every Romanian is so apathetic, they wouldn't care to go out in the streets and riot against the poison which has infiltrated every absolute aspect of their self-centered lives.
And now this bullshit with atheists and the government. I am seriously looking into options and work outside the country, I just can't take it anymore. But then again, it will be a very long time before I will be able to do that, seeing as how my monthly pay would barely feed a family of four for a week in another, civilized country.

I also forgot to mention how the new metro line budget was cut to put those money into the construction of a mega church by the name of Catedrala Neamului, which, as you guessed it, will placed next to an important government building (Casa Poporului).
Yeah.
