Oh Im totally a fan dude.. they don't get much hardercore than me, my friend and I almost bought tickets to be in japan this week to see the movie  , but my money situation is a little crap right now  !
I felt the movie done what a sequel would do, so I'm happy. I think if they pushed the story further they would ruin the magic, the movie really does keep on the same line, infact its almost the same story again .. But I really feel it adds what you need to the story for the story to be complete.
The only thing I want to see now is a game based on the same methods as FF7 (materia, turn based..). Square change how things work far too much and the latest attempts at a skill/magic system where plain awful. Materia does it so right its unthinkable to change it, I hope they pull it back.
As for my comments on the new games, as much as I worry they may destroy the original, the movie played out the characters (Turks and Vincent) enough to make the new games worthwhile.. Vincent is a HARD ASS in the movie, and the turks are in it till the end and almost every scene, they play a big role in the movie (well Reno and Rude).
Lets hope its not another devil may cry and that is has some good RPG elements in it  ! Then Ill be happy!
You have to watch it dude, its awsome, if only for the final fight  !
Edit: Oh and as for the subs, you should be able to attach them to the DVDR (dont know how off the top of my head but Im sure its very possible without much of a hassel.. or you could use VLC and get it to automatically find them for you  !). The only issue is that the subs (at least the ones I have) are timed for the XVid, so they may not show up at the correct times  .. Try it and see.. the subs arn't 100% perfect anyway, but you get the info you need without it being annoying !

I give the movie 9.0 of 10. but sephiroth gives me chills because this character(from FF7 and now) is fuckin' cool in my opinion but I didn't like how they brought him back, oh well...

This movie is like a blond bimbo, pretty, but stupid as shit.
I got terribly bored when there wasn't a fight going on, plus, there is alot of stuff that just doesn't make real sense, and I played through FFVII.
I mean, spehiroth comes back for about five minutes, then gets owned, what a waste.

Clearly you didnt pay much attention to the game , as the story is EXACTLY the same..

The illness happens in the game, as does the part where all the people goto the lost city, seph comes back when dude absorbes jevenova, because that completes seph.. He is defeated easily because Cloud has had 2 years to train, he is far more powerful than he was in the game, plus the fact that he kills him in the EXACT same way. What the movie does explain is the full reason for the reunion, the fact that seph wants to use the planet and its power to find a new planet just as jenova done. The only thing that I felt wasnt explained was where the 3 new clones came from.. But I have a feeing Rufus had something to do with them.. Or maybe they came from the northern creator, this was menationed, but not explained. |

So can you explain to me how the illness was cured? It seems one minute cloud is whimpering like a bitch, the next a little fountain springs up and cures him.
Plus, what was the black water all the kids drank that seemed to turn them into zombies? Then suddenly they're all back to normal.
Also, why does that guy summon bahamut, then not bother to summon anything else, even when cloud is after him?
As for sephiroth, I can't remember some guy absorbing Jenova cells in the game to resurrect him. I thought he just survived the fall in the beginning because he had already fused with Jenova cells.
