the fuck is going on with this browser lately? ran perfectly fine, but in the last 2-3 months, became a big pile of shit -__- loads like shit on portfolio sits, scroll lag, logs me out randomly, by time to time, and screams loudly "NEW DEVICE DETECTED" fuck off. Working on some template, Chrome loads like shit and lags, testing on Opera/Safari/IE/FF works like a mothafacka wanking on vaseline Are You Serious

Sounds like normal Google to me. The more they update a thing, the more broken and unstable it gets Very Happy Like YouTube for example.

Firefox is pretty nice and fast now.
And there's always faster version with 64-bit build, http://www.palemoon.org/

Firefox ... good? In the past, maybe, it's a huge resource hog. And no, I don't have a bazillion addons.

Still best for development though, so it gets my love.

FF has some stuttering on YT videos which annoys me a lot. BTW, why the fuck Chrome doesn't have an option to turn off the auto-update?

Firefox Laughing They still single process single thread, so whenever there are 10 gifs on a page, the shit locks up for 10 minutes. Laughing

Opera Next is fast like Chrome, renders with same features/bugs as WebKit from Chrome, just without the Google bugs.

Chrome just broke, deleted all my extensions, signed me out, signed back, all my bookmarks were gone, had a backup on localdrive at least. And the browser went full retard, random sign out, and can't sign in on some websites anymore, jeez.

I got tired of the myriad issues constantly plaguing Chrome, so I decided to check out Pale Moon - a supposedly optimised branch of Firefox. After almost a week, it seems okay actually and I've gotten used to *most* of the changes, though the loss of Chrome's built-in translator has been a harsh loss indeed Sad I'm having to use some plugin that doesn't do anything automatically, forcing me to constantly click the "translate" button on each page that has non-English text.

Meh.

Meh.
I might give that a try.
Any problems importing stuff from chrome with it?

Also I'm assuming that the dreaded "not marked as read nfohump forum threads" bug isn't there, right?

Passwords and web/search history didn't import but everything else was fine. I'm using the 32bit Pale Moon due to the "you may need 64bit plugins" warning and I didn't want to faff around with it. So far all Firefox plugins work Smile

Had to manually transfer my stuff from Iron to Chrome and the use the import tool from pale moon... hard work Razz
Scroll feels all wobbly... did Iron/chrome had some sort of smooth scroll or is it just a case of different vertical scroll lines per browser? Confused

EDIT: Now that I think about it, it might have been disabled in Iron and it's enabled in here
