not really, its gimmicky and flashy, tries to be cool, but in the end is an utter waste of talent considering the cast.

Honestly, this. I loved the movie, it's great. I enjoyed the hell out of it. Sam Rockwell is awesome!

Man of Steel 6/10...Effects where good but I felt it was basically Superman 1 and 2 morphed into 1 film that kept jumping about in time..The film in its own rights was ok but when compared to the original I think the dark negative spin they put on it took away the comic style blundering idiot Clarke Kent that made it special..

I also think they should of stretched this movie in to 2 and focused on more as a kid but that just my opinion

Sad to see Smith going from such great sci-fi movies such as this, to scientology crap like After Earth. Pity.

Man of Steel - 5/10? I dunno, the only thing worth watching was Cavils hot buffed body - the guy is really visually strong, like, really I want to have that kind of body xD

But as a movie it was kinda meh. Too much drama, not enough nekkid hot body to compensate xD

Also, for a superhuman alien being, he really has some messed up teeth :S I mean, couldn't they correct that? These days orthodontics goes a loooong way.

I get why it would work here but there is nothing more annoying these days than seeing an actor portray a poor or flawed character and then they have pristine teeth running around in the 1930s :F

Man of Steel - 8.5/10 - a good origin story. CGI was very good, design was good, action was good, the guy playing Superdude was good and the story was interesting. Story did get a bit weak towards the end, I did not like the shaky cam (though it was subtle) and the 3D was distracting.

I'm fine with origin stories as long as they don't regurgitate the old movies. This movie felt fresh.

Went in with no high expectations and got just what I thought I'd get. Both me and my gf laughed quite alot during this movie. One should try and avoid to think too much during most scifi movies since there are almost always way too many flaws in the story - but even though I went in with an open mind to watch this one I could not ignore the huge mistakes.
The movie itself was very well made, but holy shit the script is B.A.D!

So what do I give it? Well... 3/10 story wise...7/10 visuals.

I read this post and thought the movie might be worth a watch (for the visuals). So I went to the cinema tonight and holy cow! What a huge load of crap this movie is. Visually it might be ok, but the rest, from script to actors to ideology, it wasnt even funny anymore. People dont go watch this movie! Dont even download it!
So you weren't turned into a scientologist by it, unlike Ankhina.
Good, good Very Happy

World War Z - 5/10

I don't know if I was just in a good mood, or if I'm so bored with superhero movies that I'll take absolutely anything else, but this wasn't nearly as terrible as I'd expected. The opening and Jerusalem sequences are particularly impressive, and although the potential is wasted in the latter parts, I still had fun.

Almost no relation to the book, though.
