Info about Patch 0.11 coming next wednesday. Alot of new features, including rebalance of monster damage, buffing armor and decreasing life nodes. Really looking forward to the patch, will be like playing a slightly different kind of game. Also the anarchy league sounds cool with crazed exiles whom you get to fight as you run around the game...

Patchnotes for 0.11.0
Let's see how those balance changes are working out. I think I'm going to try the Anarchy League.

there are a few changes in there i am excited for. being able to up the chances of getting a good fuse or jeweler roll by upping the quality of the item first is very nice. hopefully that resync tweak will stop some cheap deaths too.

I hope it will do something with the lag spikes. I have so much trouble with it right now with my unarmed duelist, cheap deaths and hits that don't register.

yeah me too. only with certain enemies (mainly the rhoa charging attack and the golems rolling). i get the 'resurrect' button before i even see the animation play (i see myself shooting them from afar until i seem to randomly drop dead and they appear behind me finishing up the attack animation). at this point thats almost the only thing that kills me.

this game seems to have a 'welcome back' loot system if you dont play for a while. every time i take a long break my first few maps have great drops, then it tapers off and i play for three days without getting anything. all my best drops have been first game after a week+ break. i just got kaoms sign (orange ring) from a random mook and a handful of lower currency gems on a warm up run through the docks.

cant say much about the patch yet. its been too long since i played for me to feel any difference in balance. im kind of excited about a full respec though. this is my first/only character. i was treating it as a test, thinking i would fuck it up and throw it out, but its gone far better than expected. not really sure yet if i even want to respec him, but part of me thinks i could get it a little better if i did. passive tree is cool as hell though, so its kind of fun just sitting and pondering it for a while...

As a long time player I like the patch, though I made the misstake of thinking you didnt have to rely as much on HP as before which might be true. You still need a solid defense, but what has been done with the patch is that you can go about it with a more balanced approach, getting armor/es/evasion plus HP.
Still need to play around more before I really know all thats been changed but you still get one shotted by Kole if you're not careful, died with 2.5k life and 9.6k armor, was one shotted by him. But overall the mobs do less damage, and its a noticable change which is very welcome.
Alot of people at the official forums are QQing because their builds got nerfed, especially those running Blood Magic but that too is done for balance purposes to prevent people from overabusing BM.
My only problem is I hate farming in games so whenever I kill merciless piety I just start over with a new char, grinding maps might be fun a few times but gets really boring really fast...

Try playing maps with difficult mods for a challenge. You won't get bored.

Yeah Ive done that. I need some kind of story and the thought of reaching the end boss. Looking forward to anarchy league, fighting crazed AI controlled exiles with loot drops for each equipment slot is a really cool idea.
Thinking of doing a dualist dual wield with acrobatics and evasion.

The newest patch broke the game for me. I have constant syncing issues with a pretty normal latency for my connection (around 60). I don't hit the mobs I'm aiming at but some random mob in the vicinity, I'm getting hit from nowhere, mobs hovering to their destination (the models are frozen and mobs just move into the place they should be). Resyncing with level generation server so I'm getting kicked out to the login screen.
I hope they will fix it fast, the previous lag spikes were annoying but this is just unplayable.

For me the boring part is the leveling. EVERYONE uses the same skills to level freeze pulse, fire/bear trap, poison arrow/RoA, Ground Slam, Lightning until around lvl 75 or so. As you level, just throw in a few curses/Aura's/bonus gems.

Then ~lvl 70-75, they do a major respec and change to their end game build. CI, BM, Discharge, etc.. After 2-3 toons, it's really really tiring. Maps don't save the day. Plus, you are almost forced to party on maps and I don't like that.

In addition melee, while better, is still vastly underpowered compared to ranged. Try to PURE melee Vaal solo and you'll die more often than not.

The races, especially the weird ones, were fun.

If I never see another dual spark totem build ever again, it'll be too soon. I remember 2 months ago - EVERYONE was running one. I was logged into a 6 people party, with 4 running dual spark totems, another was a summoner witch, and I was a DW toon. Things died BEFORE I could run to them to take a swing. lol.

I'm using Dual Strike from the start. So no, not everone uses the same skills. And you obviously don't have to tell me about melee. I've been doing Lunaris 3 a lot lately and I see people using a lot of different builds, so I can't agree with you.
