didn't find any Thread about it... it's quite old news. it's recently reported PS3 getting the additional XBLA contect soon so I thought waht about Steam? and found this:

Quote:
The indie game Joe Danger, originally released on the PlayStation Network, has just popped up on the Steam registry. It was later released on XBLA.

While nothing's official, there's good reason to believe that the side-scroller will finally be released on the PC. The game's developer Sean Murray had previously referred to XBLA as a "slaughterhouse for small developers" because of stiff competition with other indie titles. Hopefully the game will fare as well on Steam as it did on PSN.

A version for iOS and Android devices has also been confirmed to be in development. The team at Hello Games says that they plan to develop a new game for the devices instead of doing a 1-to-1 port of the console version. It remains to be seen whether the Steam version of Joe Danger happens to be the new version they're working on, or a port of the console version.

Expect a proper announcement in the near future.

Yup, just as I thought; he's absolutely overjoyed Very Happy It's one of his favourite games and he was gutted when I brought my PS3 over to Norway as he couldn't play it any more grinhurt Now he's happy! I still hate and despise console exclusives, but at least Joe Danger was never promised for the PC - and now that it's coming, they're bringing BOTH games from the series. That's great news for my brother.

Why do you need reactPSN? Joe Danger has been properly cracked AGES ago. I've never installed reactPSN and Joe Danger worked fine for me, on 3.55 and 4.21 Smile

RPS: I think there was a hope that the next-gen console deals would put an end to exclusivity deals for indies, but it doesn’t look like we’ll be that fortunate. But from what I’ve heard from devs, spreading the risk across PC and consoles is actually often a safer way to go. Do you think that’s an issue?

Murray: Well, there’s two things there. And these are things I feel passionate about at the moment. For indie developers, and you and anyone reading RPS, well, exclusivity needs to die, especially for indie games. It’s so outdated as a concept. I would much rather that a console, or a PC, or whatever was just better because suited to you for a particular purpose. You’d buy a PS4 or whatever because you wanted a sit-down console, not because of the games on it. The idea that a game comes out on a platform because the devs are being paid not to release on other platforms, that just seems like a weird out-dated hindrance. It stops people from being quite so creative. I am only releasing my game on that format, so if it fails I don’t have a backup of looking for a market elsewhere. But there are some signs that it will go away eventually, and I think that would be really nice. The second thing is that PCs and the next-gen consoles are going to be really similar, and that’s super interesting. We’ve come from a time where platforms were really different. One of my hobbies as a kid was writing emulators, stuff like writing SNES emulators for PC, and then things were so ridiculously different. It made sense to develop for one platform at that point, but that doesn’t – potentially – make sense now when we’re basically talking about PCs and consoles basically being differently specced PCs. How are consoles going to differentiate themselves? Interesting, I think.

I just wish that not only more developers thought this way........... but actually stood up and DID SOMETHING ABOUT IT. It's one thing to decry exclusivity, but it's an empty gesture when developers keep signing up with the same restrictive and stifling publishers. As long as developers keep giving away their lives, publishers will keep taking them and nothing will change.

Quote:
Hello Games' Joe Danger and Joe Danger 2: The Movie make their Steam debut today, each available at a special introductory price for the next week. Normal pricing puts each game at $15 or together in a special bundle for $25; however, for the next week, the bundle is 40 percent off and each game is 20 percent off.

The bundle includes extra content: an ebook telling the story of Hello Games' struggles as an indie developer in the UK; the Joe Danger soundtrack; and some extra wallpapers. All copies of Joe Danger 2 on Steam, whether purchased individually or within the bundle, will have additional Team Fortress 2 and Minecraft content.

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

In WeFuckYou currency, it's €11.19 (down from €13.99) for each or €13.79 for both in a bundle.

... and why not, pray tell? Trials is considerably more "you just drive right" than Joe Danger. In Trials you LITERALLY just drive right, there's nothing else to the game. Joe Danger is about tricks. Ohhhh... I get it.. KillerDerper is all about the graphics! Now it's all so clear Laughing Gotta love that OhSoReal visual style. Throw in some 30fps and motion blur and it's all teh sex isn't it? Very Happy
