Flawless Widescreen has an Alice plugin with all kinds of aspect, framecap and fov fixes, maybe it also removes the black bars?
You really miss out on something if you skip this game.

I don't want to skip it, I want to finish it (because I started playing it when it was released), since I'm a big fan of McGee's version of Wonderland. Problem is, those black bars are extremely annoying.
I know about Flawless Widescreen, but haven't they removed the plugin for this game?

Sorry for bumping this, but was this ever properly cracked?
The posts in this thread suggests the Theta release but reading comments on torrents suggests that that release has issues as well.
Did anyone manage to finish this with a pirate version?

Yep I have the Theta version since its the "clone" of the real disc, although I played the custominstaller version (SKIDROW? maybe)
Played through it 3 times, and not a single problem. (could complete the game 100%, collecting everything, even alice1 worked like a charm)
Yep:
Alice.Madness.Returns-SKIDROW
Alice.Madness.Returns.Crackfix-SKIDROW
I think I used these two.

Alright, thanks a lot, I'll give that a try and hope for the best.

Wait I saw a Alice.Madness.Returns.Proper-RELOADED version too.....don't know. I think SKIDROW was the first one who released the game and the basic version had a gamecrash problem where you pick up the pepper gun but after the crackfix I think it worked like a charm.

They went pay to win on mobile, they had two games (that I know of) and they were essentially the same, even reused textures from each other.
So frankly balls to them

Indeed the silly Spicy Ponies shot themselves in the hoof with those :<
A shame though, nuAlice was (surprisingly) good and there was genuine talent in there..they even created flawless hair physics before it was cool, true l'Oreal hipsters.

Not shutting down, but downsizing and changing, moving away from F2P mobile games.

How about NOT send the proposal to EA?

Unfortunately the rights to the American McGee's Alice series are with EA so there are no other options if we want a sequel.

Well they could change the name but if the gameplay and such is close to the material of the previous two games it might be risky if EA decides to take action.
