First Risen is much better imo. Not sure how much I would pay for the 2nd.

what about that baldurs gate thing. any good? kinda missed out on all these kinds of games when i was young because i was all about the shooters, so now im trying to make up for it by looking for games that are good that ive missed.

Well, I've seen several people saying the changes or improvements aren't good or aren't good enough to justify an EE edition. But in my case, who don't own the game and have never played it I guess those aren't really negatives that should stop me from buying it ( and having it on Steam would be a plus for me).
And about the game itself. I hear everywhere it's a masterpiece, and I'm 100% positive I want to play it.

BG1 and 2 are absolutely a must if you're into isometric 'hardcore' RPGs, though BG1's Enhanced Edition was quite a failure since didn't improve the visuals and only provided some new contents (good and bad in equal measure  ). Like 4treyu said, if the price is low you can grab it. |
