Doubt they are false positive. 3DM version is the first beta version. There was couple of updates after it.

Alright, I've got examples from another guy, and teah, it seems that all 900 files is outdated, damn.

This will make 1-2Gb patch. No one will ever bother to upload something like that, at last I don't recall anyone doing that before. Oh well.

Sweden has Google Internets now?

Either way making update by date isn't really correct because some files could be modified earlier and be in repository for 1-2 days. Why just don't use version file to make update?

When Steam updates a title every modified file is affected by a date change since the old file is actually replaced by the updated one, it doesn't download some archive and then extract the files from there such as a more traditional update would do. Smile

The new content format means it only needs to download the updated data as I understood it but the file is still updated which alters the "last modified" date stamp so it's very easy to keep track of updated files with Steam.

I have it downloaded (But I should check if there's a newer version available.) though I've not used it much but yeah I should learn more about these programs since they can be quite useful.

You can crack the Steam API integration? Cool. Smile
(Or what it's called, unsure if there's a actual name other than for the optional CEG layer.)

EDIT: And I think I understand, 3DM had their release pre-cracked so there was no original available in their release.
(I don't really know much about their Steam emulation method but I guess Ali213 or 3DM are like Fairlight and have their offers already cracked, usually also repackaged so you just unpack and play whereas the scene groups use installers.)

Its SteamStub. For api integration there is tons of steam emulators out there.
ALI213 steam_api.dll can bypass steamstub without cracking so its usefull so i can load the game into memory and crack it without owning Very Happy

Edit:
About 3DM they don't have their own emu. They use SKIDROW emu and changed SKIDROW with 3DMGAME in steaclient.dll code.
ALI213 may use some features from another emulators, but for now is one of the best actually. Beats steamstub, starts and saves fine for all games i tried, creates lobby in COH2 where all others fail.

I use different emuation API so I don't need "cracked EXE" but it can be useful for other people, yes.

That was a bit one sided. I hope not all choices are as simple as that one.

Fun that you mentioned it, because developers struggled a lot with this kind of thing to find a decent solution/realization: http://www.lar.net/2013/07/08/the-pitfalls-of-politics-ethics-in-video-games/

Well no, I mean the dwarf is the only one against the idea. And for an empire, the choice is not exactly hard to make.

Ah, I see. In some previous videso there were a situation where elves and lizards were on the one side and dwarfs and undead on another. It is not that simple. All 4 had something to s.ay

Dragon Commander’s a bit like an over-friendly dog that jumps up at you, headbutts you in the crotch, licks you on the eye and then farts in helpless excitement when you come home. While it can be exasperating, its loveable nature and repertoire of charming tricks absolutely wins the day. I’m really looking forward to trying out the more expansive finished product later this year.

In the beta, all the different factions's units are the same. Is this going to stay in the full release?

Review from polish gry-online.pl. http://www.gry-online.pl/S020.asp?ID=9130
Pros:
entertaining fun
nice strategy and tactics elements
good multi
some well done innovations
Bad:
short single (only three (!) missions which can be done by one afternoon)
no politics in multi
cuted and too simple RPG elements
wasted potential
7/10

Short single campaign... aw man Sad I have *zero* interest in MP and very little interest in AI skirmishing, so it's a shame the SP campaign is so short. Oh well - it was only €5 for the GOG version <3
