yeah and according to the forum you can even run into your old self ZOMBIFIED Laughing havent seen that yet tho

I did find my old body lying on the ground with the stuff I had. Laughing

I heard an airplane and a helicopter flying around. And I had gone in my house and shortly after I heard a gunshot. The zombies that were knocking on my door left after the gunshot.

I need to find a damn axe so I can fight.

Note to self: Stay the fuck away from that church. That wasn't a horde of zombies. It was a solid wall of little sprite bodies that covered half of the screen.

Didn't know that. I removed my clothes but wasn't sure if it made a difference. Thanks for the tip.

Baseball bat? Sucks. Crowbar? Sucks. Golf club? Sucks. I don't have time to beat the shit out of zombies repeatedly to try to kill them. Headshots don't seem to matter with those. However, a trusty fucking kitchen knife and I'm goddamn John Rambo. Killing those bastards left and right... Until the kitchen knife apparently wears out and, without fucking telling you, it switches to the pistol you had in the secondary slot and mid fight you suddenly start popping off rounds. FUCK. I'll revisit the game when they have human AI and/or multiplayer implemented. I enjoyed it as it is for some time, but I found that once you get good at surviving, there's little incentive to carry on. Hope this one reaches its potential.

It's a fun and rewarding game, but yeah. I've been playing a bit the past day and the only real 'mechanic' that changes things up is when there is an event that moves the horde your direction. It's pretty intense when all the zombies are running past a building you are hiding in.

I think NPC's and what not are in the next major release so it's not that far off.

You have to 'charge' swinging weapons. Otherwise you'll do hardly any damage. So you just click and hold and then release when ready. This way they'll knock down more and allow you to get that final killing blow in. Once you learn how to do this swinging weapons are better then the knives. Although for dealing with a couple of zombies fast the knives aren't bad. The major issue with knives is how fast they deteriorate.

Like I said, you have to 'charge' the swing. Click and hold it for like 2-3 seconds before letting go and swinging. You'll knock down a zombie every time. At that point you just gotta spam click to attack while they are laying on the ground to smash their heads in. Way safer and easier then using a knife.

it comes with its drawbacks.
for instance, this game has been around since 2011 and the updates are soooooo slow that i've stoped giving a fuck at some point. im afraid the same thing will happen to dayz, if they don't rethink the way they are developing the game.

Yeah, I know that. But when I've got multiple zombies coming to me, I don't have time to charge swings. You knock one down and before you have a chance to kill it, more are on you. With the knife I can kill them in one or two quick shots.

I need to find a damn axe. Had a hammer, nails, and saw on one guy and I got killed by a bug. I was on the second floor of a house when i somehow walked through a wall or something and fell. I wasn't killed instantly but I was hurt so bad that I died a short while later. I just have to remember where i died

This is the map I use. So far it's pretty much exact. The full-sized version in the link is easily readable.

Yeah its basicly a normal release, just that they dont claim its finished - but on the other hand they have no need to hurry for a final release... its already sold, isnt it?

There is A LOT missing from that map. The map itself is four times the size of that. But yeah, that's the main city area.

Yeah, and it's probably got some age. But it's a clean, somewhat accurate, and semi-labeled map of the areas you start out in.

That pzmap is pretty damn nice though. Is that only vanilla locations or does it include areas added by mods. I only play it vanilla.

All vanilla. Shitloads still missing as can be obviously seen.

There are some nice little shacks/farms way out in the middle of nowhere that, once you have crops growing, you should be able to last forever unless you are unlucky and have a horde randomly come to you.

think they are planning on reaching rc3 in time for the steam "release" its not gonna be avail on steam but we will be able to dl it there if we have a key already, they said they wanna have story mode and a tutorial ingame first and planning for september.

so still early in the alpha as not even early access will be activated, think their biggest mistake was opening the alpha too soon, should have waited with it until now, i think the pace is gonna pick up with the updates now

but im ready to cut em some slack as its a tiny dev team operating on a pretty small budget, and if they get every promised feature in this game is gonna be absolute killer
