Some of Rockstar Games' "latest titles" currently unavailable or unannounced for PC include 2010's Red Dead Redemption and this September's Grand Theft Auto V. The company has said a PC version of GTAV is "up for consideration."
Don't see where RDR is coming to pc but I guess we can hope.

It's so stupid that they haven't ported it yet. It would do very well on PC. Rockstar can be such a shitty company at times.
Doubt it will ever happen and my 360 copy will collect dust forever regardless.

I have a gaming confession. I played RDR on PS3 and did not really like it. Got bored.

It fucking sucks with a gamepad, so I don't blame you.

wut? only aiming parts might be considered annoying with pad (and even that is non issue with dead eye targeting), everything else feels perfectly fine.

Yeah, and aiming happens to be most important aspect of a shooter for me.
And it fucking sucks more than most games with a gamepad if you don't use a ton of auto-aiming, and if you use those, you might as well just watch someone else play it instead.

I thought I was the only one.
It was a nice game but really, really dull at times. I did buy the GOTY recently, I'll give it another go at some point.

I got the game for free on Xbox and got bored after 1 or 2 missions. It also looked ugly.

bullshit. You just need practice. Auto-aim annoys the fuck out of me so I always turn it off. I've played with a gamepad since childhood and it feels very natural for me and my brothers. With some experience it's really easy to land headshots.
I remember when i played GTAIV MP for xbox 360. I've had a lot of fun, chases, hiting people with cars, some tactics even. When I bought gta IV for steam i didn't have any fun at all because people were too accurate and it turned to 100% deathmatch where cars weren't as effective because you'd get killed very quickly.

Yeah, it was really dull sometimes. So after about 40% through I just stopped playing cause I got bored.

Does this post serve any cause other than to insult me ?
Plus, a hint: when you try to tell someone he's wrong, try using words.. it might help in the discussion.
edit;
oh, yeah, i forgot you're all sensitive here about fanboyism. If you've somehow understood that i'm trying to communicate that consoles are better and PCs suck... then i probably am derp because i don't see it there.

So the game wasn't good because it was more competitive? So even with practice, what you are bassicly saying is that mouse control still pwns the crap gamepad control
I wasn't that put off to play it with controller like I am with shooter games. But in all honesty I prefer mouse control. That's why I am having a lot more fun with GTA IV on pc then I had on the ps3.
*edit* To clarify: I had fun with RDR and GTA on ps3, just that I have more fun when they give me my precious mouse controll

No, i'm saying that the pace was slower and it was good because the gameplay focused more on how you drive and how/where you move other than accuracy.

yet again I don't quite understand what you're trying to say.. because you didn't say anything, but at least you've pointed a sentence you seem to disagree with.
It's not that I didn't like that people were too good and shot me instantly, it's that the pace of the game changed dramatically and I didn't like it.

i have to agree with bloodian.
even though i never tried the multiplayer with a gamepad, I certainly think that gta iv was designed to be played with a gamepad. sure, aiming with the analog sticks was far inferior and playing the pc-version "competitively" against mouse+kb players would have been a disaster. but in SP, the difficulty of the missions and the overall gameplay (driving, jumping, flying!) felt a lot more balanced. with mouse+kb on the other hand, drive-by shooting for example was almost too easy.
back on topic: haven't played RDR for the lack of a console, so i'm looking forward to a proper pc-port

Of course it was, which is why you could just auto aim and lock onto targets without aiming manually.
Bergdoktor wrote: | with mouse+kb on the other hand, drive-by shooting for example was almost too easy. |
So? Everyone has the same 'advantage' so there shouldn't be a problem, and you're not limited to having to drive
Using a control scheme to artificially make a game difficult is absolutely retarded. They should have added more recoil for KB+M if anything.
