Yeah that was an amazing Final I think i learned more in 1 hour watching these amazing matches than practicing for a week
its only your perception, go play few hours later (after watching it) and you will realize you didnt learn that much anyway
for me, when i`m choosing new fighter its practice mode 1st till i`m able to make any special move without even thinking about it, next are basic and longer combos (~30%). remembering mixups low/overhead hits and landing those longer combos consistently requires hours in practice mode, but making them effortlessly in competitive online match is whole different story
I wasn't really talking about learning to do the moves, that will still require a lot of hours of practice fighting ladders or online, etc I was talking about the strategy these "pro" used in that tournament. Very interesting and gives you a lot if insight. But of course that would be for fighting against human opponents.
man, watched some of that evo footage... crazy crazy combos!
anyone have a link to some footage of that blind guy playing? I cant even begin to comprehend how he does it, its not like theres a specific sound per attack is there?
if i understood it correctly he previously must have won many matches as he was in finals of winners bracket. anyway that one round was pretty amazing, and as you said other guy was top8 lol.
stage size, on large stages so called zoning characters preform better, at pro level everything matters. some stages are also more laggy than others (graveyard and streets is usually avoided)
around 1h blind guy starts playing, cyrax mirror is pretty pointless but look at the next match.... omfg
I almost cried when those idiots picked mirror matchup vs him. How can someone do this to him? He is blind ffs and those retarded low fucks have a heart to do this to him! How bad of a person someone has be to fuck him up like this? Idiots.
Respect to the blind guy, these scumbag "pro players" are nothing in compare to him.
yeah that and 'baby on board' sticker with babality was pretty pathetic. anyway if his opponent was actually playing cyrax in the 1st place then it would be strange if he would change is character just for him.
either way he got pretty far in the tournament and won one round with top8 player, hands down amazing. he also plays drums in metal band (and sings) lol.
more on topic - just made 230 in tower, 70 more to go. anyone from hump actually finished it? after few days of hype seems like no one playing it anymore
Nice, although I wonder what that unlocks now other than a achievement since the skins are all pre-unlocked for the PC version.
(Other than for the Krypt/Necropolis viewer, still no idea how to view the classic skins in that thing but I've seen images of it so it must be doable.)
Oh I know how to select the different skins but they can't be viewed from the Necropolis model viewer from what I've tried.
EDIT: Example.

(Since it has those controls - granted it's a PS3 pad one - there should be some way to view even those but I've found no way to do so.)
Yeah you fight all the boss guys in one go, not exactly fair.
(Where is Motaro or what that guys name was anyhow, he just kinda appears in the story during a cutscene only to die shortly afterwards, I guess he's a bit too unique.)
for anyone interested - theres a small tournament for EU (dunno if game will allow cross us/eu play) on steam, currently 8 people registered, starts in about 2h20 mins (4gtm+2)
