Can be also PSU issue, since its not giving bluescreen (PSU problems usually gives freezes or reboots when PC is stressed).

No, not the PSU. IIRC 0x124 is a machine check exception. That's the CPU itself, the RAM or on older systems the northbridge.

Any overvolting/-clocking going on Boner?

Then I would check temperatures first and foremost. Also take out all RAM chips bar one. If it occurs again, replace the one you left in with another one. If it does the same thing with all of them it's safe to say that's not it. Which means it's something in the CPU itself.

And yep, 0x124 are MCEs: http://www.sevenforums.com/crash-lockup-debug-how/35349-stop-0x124-what-means-what-try.html

Well you can try underclocking/-volting it, but chances are that won't change anything. I'm pretty sure the CPU is just broken mate.

Are voltages in normal range (can't remember what CPU you have, but should be somewhere between 1.0 and 1.2 most likely Wink)?

255C doesn't look like an actual reading... something's wrong over there Very Happy

In my case, the 124 BSOD was the thing I always got with an unstable overclock on the CPU, so that's another thing pointing at a CPU issue for you Smile
